With the latest updates of Sim Settlements 2, I have just been updating this file to latest and works for me.  It should also work for you.  Though, I cannot know what other mods you may have added that may cause conflict.

If you do, start with the base save game, update the Sim Settlements to latest.

May not be perfect, but will allow you a place to get into the game quicker.

The important thing is that if the load order works for your setup, and your menus and stranger are there, you should be able to just start your own new game - should work just fine.

I did this so people needing help will find it so they can get in game faster - plus use it to troubleshoot their mods.

And I am sorry I only do Nora - from my other save games, downloads have been about 75 to 80% Nora vs Nate.

Please, enjoy it and try new game with male.

Hi, I have a little tip if you'd like to play as a male character, but still want the convenience of this mod. Simply open the console while in game, (using the tilde key, right below the escape key), type this line without quotation marks "player.sexchange", and hit enter. Then, if you so desire, you can also use the console to open the looks menu and change the characters appearance by using the command "showlooksmenu", again without quotations. Now, before doing so, be sure to be in third-person mode, and have the camera facing the front of your character. Also, have a weapon equipped, preferably a gun that you can safely waste a single shot of, if necessary, as once you're done editing your characters appearance in the looks menu, you'll need to draw and potentially fire your weapon in order to unstick the camera. Finally, you can change your characters name by using the command "showspecialmenu" in the console. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the advice.  I do know how to do this but over the years I have been told that this is not as reliable as proper sex selection during character creation.  Some may find this to be okay for them... but as when I do things for the general public, I only do what I know as solid.  With all the different load orders, I don't want to provide something questionable...

But thanks again, you are right - perhaps the OP will try that and have success.

Hi, I'm having a little trouble getting this to work. I have all the required mods, and extracted the save files to my Fallout 4 save folder, but the saves don't seem to be showing up. Based on the images, I'm assuming the saves are under the name "Nora"? It could potentially have something to do with the fact that all my Steam games are installed on an external hard drive, but the save folder is still on my main drive. If that's the case, then I have no idea what to do, which is a shame, because I can't get the stranger to appear in Sanctuary, even after building and powering the beacon. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I don't know about Steam on external drives, etc.  If you put them in the right folder, they will show up.  Sorry, if I can't help much on this.

Yes, it is Nora, but worst case is you will have multiple "Nora" listings if you use "Select Character".

And, why I put up all the pictures in sequence is to show it does work - and useful to see if something is in conflict.  I think if you make sure you use the latest of all the mods and have a good install, there shouldn't be an issue.

I figured as much, but thanks anyway. I'll post back here if I find a solution.
