I'm new to modding and just discovered this PA paint job...really like the Radiant Storm version and am using it with the Tesla coils.  Only minor detail, and it's purely aesthetic (nothing performance-wise), is that the Tesla coil on the shoulder covers the rockers on the Gunny decal...would be perfect if decal lowered on the shoulder to just below the coil.  Otherwise, love it as my go-to PA in the Glowing Sea!  Highly recommend!!

This is a nice look! I don't care how "authentic" it is or isn't, my dad was a Marine, so I downloaded in his honor. Thanks for this. Uploaded pic.

I do prefer the subdued version, but as to the patterns, there's no reason that by 2077 the USMC hadn't adopted this pattern for a few years. I doubt in 2077 IRL they will use whatever is in vogue now. MARPAT and whatnot will be antique patterns.

WIPAG's decal and paint system would work well with these paints, that way ranks and flags could be added via decals.

I'd just like to point out none of the camos here are related to the USMC.

    Out fucking standing.

Now, as an eight year Sgt, could you make the chevrons selectable for those that know what two rockers mean?

E-7 Gunnery Sergeant, what's wrong with that? That is of course aside from that red and yellow being meant for dress blues and not combat armor...

My avatar/icon/eye catcher should tell you something. I was just hoping to be able to change the rank insignia to SSgt.

Maybe you could consider the range of rank insignia from all branches.

Oh so your issue isn't with the rank in particular only that it is just so near what your actual rank is. I get that, it is really close, just one rocker off and it could actually be your armor. I am an army brat myself so everything I know about ranks is army not USMC so I thought there was an issue with the rank itself. When I first saw it I thought Sergeant First Class, but the color and crossed rifles clearly said Gunnery Sergeant. I really like this mod, and I like it more considering it has a working soldier's rank on it, not an officer rank. I can't imagine the change between Marine ranks and Army ranks would be that difficult, you just need to recolor and remove the crossed rifles. As for additional ranks, I would like to see addition ranks, even if they are only USMC. To make things easy you only really need ranks between E-6 Staff Sergeant and E-9 Mastery Gunnery Sergeant. Anything above or below that is kind of pointless. As for all branches, only really need US Army and USMC, I doubt the Navy or Airforce require their own power armor. Sad considering the Airforce insignias are actually really cool.

Actually, the Rank of Gunnery Sergeant and above are not field ranks. The closest they ever get to anything is in a bunker, "in the rear with the gear'. The Marines ducking bullets in the bush are mostly E-1 Privates through E-5 Sergeants with the occasional E-6 Staff Sergeant (or LTs too green and stupid to get a better assignment).

So if you truly want to make a "combat realistic" armor with rank insignia to match, use the insignia of the lower ranks.

Hell I was proud of by blank sleeve. I wore the Eagle, Globe and Anchor on my cover.

Now there is an idea. Put the EGA on the helm and the torso.

As for your rank colour quandry, Use a flat black with green surround.

I saw this and saw that the rank insignia was SSgt, so you must have done this change.

Since budrick007 has been banned, I will say "Thank You" for Staff Sergeants everywhere.

Haha, If you wanted it USMC colors you should have made it an enclave styled suit since well that is where the USMC leaders and soldiers joined up with when the bombs dropped.

lore jokes aside I is a neat look and I get the point of it.

Okay, so, I only have one issue with the textures: there's no way a Marine in the field would have the same rank insignia on their power armor as they wear on dress uniforms (Alphas, Dress Blues, etc.). It would make ranks too easily identifiable by the enemy. Change the rank insignia on the shoulders to the subdued pattern and that should fix the issue.

So, yea, I nitpicked, but it's coming from my own experience in the service. Otherwise, beautiful work. I'm having trouble figuring out which detail I like best! Keep up the good work! OORAH!

EDIT:: I'm an idiot that can't read. Belay my last, then. Anyway... any chance of this being available on the other suits as well? I find I have a preference for the T-51 and T-60's, but that's just aesthetically. >.>
