About this mod

USMC-Style Hexo-Flage X-01 Power Armor Paint set. New paint schemes, not replacements.

Permissions and credits
This is my take on how their armor may have looked had the USMC survived the war.

6 Camo-sets mixed in with a sublte futuristic hexagonal look. (Yes, sort of already been done but mine has a few slight twists on the concept). All versions come with a subtle "if we can't hide from the enemy let's dazzle/fool them" panels that are reflective, designed to create a mirage "is that really there?" effect at long distance or "blind/dazzle" the enemy at closer range. (Visual effects only, has no actual gameplay effect...yet)

Camo-Types:

  • Forest - Kinda pointless in the Commonwealth waistland as trees seem to rarely grow leaves nevermind green ones...but still, this is pre-war stuff.
  • Rock - For blending in with the mountains.
  • Snow - Does it snow in the wasteland anymore? Being a nuclear winter and all that...
  • Marine - Well...the water is still kind of blue...
  • Desert - Not 100% certain I like this one, bizarrely it's been hard to get right.
  • Radiation Storm - Tried to colour(color) match this to the radiation storms colours...
All Paint comes with the "Military" bonus when all parts are painted/fitted the same. Gives a +1 bonus to Strength. (As soon as I figure out the various ID's I will add various bonus' to the different camo's, such as Rad Resistance to the Radiation Storm variant).

All textures are 2k. Normal/Specular maps are "shared" as to keep the weight down. Surface damage/effects have been edited into the normal/specular maps as well.

All paints have the post-war US Flag as seen in Fallout 2 emblazened on the chest piece.

Current Version:
  • v1.1 - Fixed paint not delivering strength bonus. Now works as intended.
  • v1.1 Alt (See Below) - Fixed paint not delivering strength bonus. Now works as intended.

There are two versions of this mod. The main one which is as can be seen in the images, and an alternate version where "components" which would not realistically be camoflageable have been colour matched to the respective camo. Eyes have been matched to their respective camo.
Shoulder patch has been changed to the correct field version. (Personally I don't like it as it makes it even harder to see, but it keeps the nitpickers pleased)

Download only ONE version. (Uninstall prev version first if updating)
