Great stuff, love your mods! I notice that hunting rifle in the screenshot, is that mod still being worked on or is it on the back-burner? Either way, fabulous stuff!
it's a problem inherent to creating standalone attachments or custom meshes, i try to fiddle with vanilla stuff taken from other guns and rearrange them so that they work with retextures, CC skins or simply to avoid creating large size files
Yeap they are, making them align is a fine tuning, reloading the game, checking that it is still missaligned, close the game, fine tune again, reload the game once more, it is still missaligned 1716 of an inch, closing the game, fine tune for what you think is going to be the last time cause it´s just 1/16 of an inch, loading up the game, oh no, guess what, you are still off... pain in the ass, yeah that long... after spending 6 hours of this without counting the steam updates and randonm nonsense like eating and toilet vists, i decided to upload as it was, and fix it next week when i have 2nd batch of attachments ready It bugs the hell out of me too man, but i was done with that annoying process, sorry
it´s not complicated but it takes a lot of time cause you can´t change anything while the game is running so it´s a lot of going back and forth, sometimes you get it first try, sometimes you get sick of it and almost smash it on the ground, one of the reasons i haven´t uploaded the SMG expansion is cause it has a lot of changes, and a lot of sights to zero in, so you can imagine how thrilled i am to spend what could be 3 or 4 days trying to get it right, anyway, i do apprettiate the criticism, you are absolutely right, it´s an annoying, but i´ll get it fixed, right after i finish updating the HMAR mod, which i´m almost done with, appretiate the nice words too, hope you get to put this one in your load order and have fun with it when i finish the last mods
For some reason I think the update broke the gun, its just completely invisible with the new parts, (50 cal auto receiver) It still works, it's just invisible also, the non automatic and the automatic 50 cal receivers are both called automatic for some reason Great mod, but I did prefer it when it was working --- edit: reinstalled it and now its working, still great mod!
Hey Nimrout, big fan of your mods but the assault rifle expansion pack mod is having trouble, I am not getting all options of the customization. I was wondering if you could help, I couldn't mark it as a bug because I play on Xbox.
Hey, if it wasn´t you, then i´ve been getting some reports of this issue, exactly which mods aren´t showing up?, remember that you HAVE to change the receiver to my 50 cal versions for most of the mods i added to show up, they are restricted to work specifically for those receivers, all of the sights should work with vanilla receivers without a hitch
This is a great concept for the assault rifle, love the bigger chunkier mags, and a great way to make 50 cal useful. Two questions though: Could you make it so that the vanilla barrels can be used with the 50 cal receiver? And would you consider adding an underbarrel Ripper that fits into the handguard?
these are all great ideas for an update, i´ll make an alternate version with 50 cal vanilla receivers, but keep this one as the main version, as for the underbarrel ripper, you mind drawing the idea up for me, somehow i can´t put it together in my mind but it sounds cool to make
I'm glad you like the idea, it just so happens that I doodled the idea a year or so ago, uploaded it here. It's laid out sort of like the Lancer from Gears of War, now that I look at it again. https://imgur.com/a/M0AJmBa I'm not too sure how feasible it would be to do this way with existing assets, but it would definitely be cool if you could pull it off.
