At first only got the 10 Charisma for the spouses ring since Loot had places the ring before the "Stealth LifeSight" mod. When placed after that mod I got the full 20 Charisma. Having this mod will save me tons of aggravation in getting past the 20 max settlers for my larger settlements. Thank you.
Might be able to get to that this weekend but no promises. Other option you have if you just want to cheat a small charisma boost is using console command to set charisma to 10. Open console with ~ key then enter text as seen exactly below
When I installed, it only showed the wedding ring as having +1 Charisma. I unequipped and reequipped, but it remained the same. There were no file conflicts in Nexus. I tried manually installing as well, but no luck. I have 307 other mods installed, so who knows what it could be lol.
Did you try it at the end of your load order? This mod is super simple, all I did was create a new 'object effect' and added it to the 2 rings. Then I changed the biped slot of the 'spouse' ring to 54. So my guess is something like Armor and Weapon Keyword has edited the rings away from it's standard vanilla form.
I can tell you with certainty that the mod works under normal conditions because I downloaded it last night to use with my 'Project Valkyrie' playthrough.
With a little bit of FO4 edit experience you can just copy what I did into another one of your mods. Goodluck.
New game not needed. Should work once installed. If you install the mod while ring is equipped you'll need to unequip and reequip again. If not that than install mod manually.
Not too sure why the Mod Manager Install function doesn't work for everyone because I added a data file as a wrapper for the esp but I know from my own experience MO2 has auto install issues sometime. Sometimes it likes the 'data' folder other times not.
Also make sure you don't have another mod overwriting this mod. Test it at the very bottom of your load order. You might have a crafting mod that already alters the wedding rings cancelling my mod edits.
I looked into it, and it clashes with "Armorsmith Extended"; so if anyone uses that, they will need to have your version as an esp anyway I believe, and then create a patch for the conflict.
I'm not 100% clear on how esl-flagged esp files work with regards to load order, so maybe i am wrong.

D/Led your Mod so I could upvote it...
Didn't know that trick was still being shared.
