Is this mod different from "Smooth First Person Sprint - Less Jerkiness and Stutter" or "FPS Boost - Sprint Engine Limitations." Should I only pick one of them? Thanks!
These mods solve the problem by reducing the sprint speed below 500 (which I personally didn't like). Sprint Stuttering Fix at the game engine level removes the 500 limit, additionally works with speed modifiers. The video shows that it works at a speed of x2 (1000).
Man these jitters/stutters are just killing the game for me. Any tips man ? Should i use the 2nd file and increase the number ? Kinda ruining my day. Just want the game to work properly.
lower your distance detail to medium and your shadow quality to medium as well. also make sure you have controller support and vibration off in the in game settings that helped me a ton.
Out of all the mods i installed this one made a mindblowing difference in my enjoyment of the game. Seriously it made the game so much smoother and for me i think it even reduced mouse lag. I was previously using Smooth First Person Sprint - Less Jerkiness and Stutter and although it improved vanilla it was nowhere near as good as this. I play in 4k with 750+ mods and can enjoy sexy smoothness.
I second Mithindis last post; this mod + FPS Physics = gold star, and works exactly as intended, at least for me; removes stuttering while sprinting. If you still get stutters in other situations, like panning/strafing/turning, go check you mouse acceleration & ini settings. My micro stutters only ceased after disabling gamepad and gamepad rumble, just a thought.
Not enough people give mod authors credit. When something is good, they don't leave comments, and if it doesn't work, they do.
I just wanted to say that I'm playing very smoothly at 144FPS with your High FPS Physics Fix mod.
I noticed though that sprinting felt like I was getting slung around. Lo and behold, you made another mod (this one) to fix that.
I can confirm they both work beautifully together, and now I can enjoy the game without any weird jank. I've also been using your Weapon Debris Crash Fix mod for a few years now. Apparently I run with all three of your mods.
From an enjoyment perspective, your mods are more important to me than the unofficial Fallout 4 patch. lol
Thank you!! I've endorsed it (the other two were endorsed long ago =D)
I updated the info page on my workaround fix for this to point users towards this mod instead. I'll leave it up so people see it but otherwise I see no reason to use that one over this one if playing on pc.
Now I just wish somebody would take a crack at the problem of energy damage not being calculated properly. Once you realize how bad it is, it kinda ruins energy weapons and any sort of sense of balance to the game. I made a sort of hacky workaround where energy weapons scale based on the targets level to roughly balance it out closer to what it should be, but I never made it public. A proper fix would be really neat. I believe Bethesda fixed it properly in fallout 76, some time after launch. Antonix35 you seem to be fixing some really core problems with the game, things that that the unofficial patch can't touch. So the energy damage may be something to consider.
