So I was looking at both this mod and how Darker Nights handled it, to do something similar for LWL + True Storms. You suggest getting Darker Nights' detection plugin, but there is a conflict - you both edit fSneakLightMult.
If I want it to be realistic that enemies can't see me a mile away when it's very dark, but light and shadow still play a bigger factor than in vanilla, whose should win for this scenario?
I know this mod is old ... but hopefully someone around here can answer. :)
Txh man for this mod! It fixed my game. I like to play on darkest nights with some overshot light tweaks and with perk 4 sneaking and maxed agi i was almost non existant to npcs while sneaking. This mod made it a bit more chalenging, still easy but atleast more realistic. When I added true storms there is not much sun light either in the game so i was like perma invisible that was so broken.
Does anyone know a mod to make sneaking easier? As in, not have the enemy detect me while I'm stealth walking 2 rooms away? I really want to take a stealthy approach to every engagement, and enemies have ears like freaking hawks.
at the begin of the game, u need to use Bloq Mayus (on my keyboard), so u will walk slowly. Then, when u get the 4th sneak perk, u dont need to use it. XD
Any idea if this would conflict with Darker Nights Harder Sneaking optional file? It essentially negates the effects of making the game darker by nerfing sneak, so I assume it modifies the same file. Thoughts?
No. Last time I checked, Darker Nights detection tweak has changed the base light modifier (you can think of it as an ambient light detection modifier - it changes how well you are detected in any light condition), while this mod changes different setting, which changes how much increased lighting affect your visibility - the effect is larger for high lighting values.
Hi,sorry to bother you,but will it work with the Decay - Reshade Mod,Darkay preset ? Or what values do I need to change in order to let it do it's magic^?
Thanks in advance for your time and consideration. Ps: I'm using the Lights mod you suggested, with Darkay-Reshade
From what I understand, Reshade just uses image post processing for it's effects, right? In this case it shouldn't affect gameplay at all. The thing with Darker Nights making impact on sneak is that it was made using the game engine itself - by reducing ambient light levels. These levels effect how much your character is lit and how much he is visible to NPCs.
Eh, maybe not list those lighting mods as necessary for the download. That usually implies that the plugin actually depends on them as masters. Nice work on the mod.
Well maybe you're right, but since this is a purely balance change and those mods change light level (which directly effects detection, as you can see from the formula) I thought I should point out which mods this was balanced for.
