I recommend using GCM (comes with it's own set of issues,) as this mod locks you into a sort of cheat. Especially when sprinting. There's no drain at all on your cores. Not to mention you fly way too high into the sky. If you get too high, the game slams you back to the ground. Kind of glitchy if you ask me. Using this for a time made me realize how you're suppose to use the vanilla jetpack and what not to expect. It's meant to let you "leap frog" to higher places, not fly around per se. You want more AP, then drink a Nuka Cola Quantum, or something.
Hey, at least this mod works. Most of the others got broken from an update to the game. I'll stick with vanilla.
If anyone is wondering what this means, you should install Game Configuration Menu go to it in Mod Configuration Menu from the pause screen and go to GCM>Character> and at the bottom of the first section called Action Points you will see a bar called Action points regen delay max, crank that down to 0. and then adjust the slider of action points regeneration forwards till you are comfortable with it as that is how fast the ap drain will "keep up" with the jetpack drain
Im actually just a doofus, you need to go to GCM>Power Armor> and the first thing on the page is what you wanna change, turn the first 3 bars down to 0 as they govern the ap drain, and then turn the Initial Thrust bar anywhere between 900 and 1200 i have mine at 1120 which is just 5 clicks down from 1200, and change sustained thrust to 95-105 this is important anything above these is literally rocket speed. And if you want it to be a more even flow of rising set time to sustained to 0.2. It will smooth it out and make it so the thrusters kick out around the height of the tallest building in fallout 4.

You do need Mod Configuration Menu and F4SE though.
