Thanks for creating another awesome mod. Your mods are the most effective and safe mods. btw, I have a suggestion for this mod. Can you make an option that makes only settlements with low happiness rebel? That will make gameplay much more immersive. In addition, it will give us motivation to care more about settlers' happiness.
There are two types of hostile. Rebellion which is driven by happiness and Takeover which is driven by the value of stuff in storage and defence. Which is why there are different notifications for immersion: Rebel and Takeover.
Since I force my workshops to a happiness value, using that alone would be crap as I make my mods for me as customer #1
I will reflect on adding a configuration option to enable/disable either mode.
Consider this another vote for the configuration options! I love the idea of rebellion as a consequence for low happiness. And the value of stuff in storage vs defence rating, if I'm understanding that right, makes a lot of sense too. I haven't had a chance to do a lot of testing with this mod as I've been stymied by CTDs and don't know where they're coming from yet... sigh.

How does this work currently killing those settlers will those be considered hostile kill or firendly kill when you have companions with you ? i would hate to lose my companion too when attacked by settlers you usually hear companion a hated that part when you commit murder etc ?
"Killing hostile workshop actors (settlers) and turrets does not affect the workshop happiness on death as happiness is reset when the player regains ownership and does not affect companion affinity because of clever scripting."
Been wanting to do a narrative where the settlements have rebelled against the General because of political disputes... and here you are with yet another amazing mod! Thanks for your hard work!

This is 100% compatible with the vanilla base game and DLC content. It has not been tested with any 3rd party content. Check these user posts. Map marker fast travel is disabled to avoind turning up in the middle of the the hostile conversion scripts running.
