Thanks for the reply! Good to know. I had to look up CWSS. lol. I don't use it. I have showers from Akarnan's Build your own Pool. Sounds like you'd have to cater to a specific shower mod? Not just "any time you get wet"? Prob not gonna happen? :-) I'm enjoying your mod as is. Thank you!Edit: I've just noticed there is a wet effect while I am in the shower, but it doesn't linger afterwards. Nice! (side effect?:-)
Love the mod. Would be wonderful if the drips turned off under sheltered areas -- think Red Rocket garage -- like mods like True Storms detects to stop rain/snow from clipping through. I haven't actually read back to see if this has been addressed/suggested or how possible it even is. Just throwing it out there as a suggestion.
I really missed Wet and Cold coming from Skyrim. This gives me some of that back!
Trouble is they're a different effect, the snow/rain are perhaps a post process or particle effect, whereas the wet surfaces are a shader effect going on a mesh surface like a layer, AFAIK the shader gives no f's about cover, doesnt or cant check for that flag which the game does have. Maybe someone will figure out a way someday.
I was tinkering with this because the Seasons mod allows snowy surfaces in winter which look stunning, but it goes everywhere, including under cover. I looked into the Skyrim BDS & NSUTR mods but its too different, they benefit from all the static buildings that never change & can do more things like snow clumps & cleared paths as well as nothing under cover of roof etc, here we have to account for a lot more diverse potentials, especially regarding settlements.
this has been asked countless times already but here goes nothing ..
can you please remove the 1st person effects or at least tell us what records to delete inside xedit? i don't care about big drops in 3rd person, but the buggy 1st person textures when using any modded outfit or weapon just sucks. not worth the hassle.
not really an answer to my question. it's not just an outfit, it's hundreds of them, in particular imports from fallout 76. i don't have a problem with fire shaders or anything else, i'd just like to get rid of the 1st person texture that's on the screen. even if i didn't have a problematic mesh, i still don't like the 1st person additions. it's immersion breaking. like people adding dirt to an ENB lens. i'm playing a video game, not watching a movie. i like everything else your mod does, kudos. but i don't understand why you won't answer my question. even "no" would just be an answer.
thanks, that helps. didn't know that as i've never seen that rain texture on screen besides when in power armor. i wish there was some batch program to remove the high precision mesh haha. dang
as much as I was loving this mod, but does not work with EFT Gear and Footsteps, idk about jsrs footsteps tho. Really loved the water splashing as it hit my weapon or armor.
I was importing a settlement via Transfer Settlements yesterday, and a storm started up. I found myself next to a laser turret, and I could see water dripping off it. Very impressive, and endorsed.
you must be so annoyed having to comment this, i feel ya. but i was naked at that point, made a clean save without this mod. the texture was baked into my save for some reason. had to go back one and a half hour, but no biggie.
No drips, no soggy footsteps, no breath, nothing...... I am sure mod has been properly installed, I can see "Wet Effects" on MCM menu and every setting is on by default. I let my charactor completely soaked in the rain. I even tried swimming in the water. Nothing Nothing Nothing What possibly went wrong?
Nice to see you're still answering comments, I have an unexpected Issue. With using a lot of vtaw's wardrobes I've gotten use to having to fix the full precision issue on vtaw's stuff since all of it seems to have it on by default.
After fixing a 3BBB bodyslide knee issue relating to the vtaw8 Scifi bodysuits and been using them lately, the large water particles returned and it's being caused by the Scifi suit helmet and scifi suit gloves. Normally not an issue but neither of them have .osp files to edit them in Outfit Studio. How do I bring them up to remove full precision?

Ok, I have to say more. Love this. Thank you!
And any chance to have the effect from a shower? Just curious :-)

You can show me the screenshot, and I can help you find the issue.
