GOD BLESS YOU. I was so annoyed that I was forced to download the creation club one to have this. I wish I can endorse you 1000 times over!!!!! INSTANT DOWNLOAD!
I love it, but I just found out it causes my game to crash to desktop whenever I try to apply the paint. I disabled the mod and the crashing stopped. It must be some conflict with another mod, I guess? (although Vortex doesnt detect conflict). I have UCO, AWKCR, Armorsmith extended and Gunmetal Armor Skins (i suspect this is the one that could be causing the conflict). Im still endorsed your mod, cause the idea is GREAT and I will be waiting to see if you can find what causes it. I will also tinker around my mods load order to see if I can fix it myself and I will tell you how that goes. Still - great mod, your other mods look great as well!
I just tested it with all of the mods you listed. Not sure what's causing the crash, but try placing my mod under the other 4 you listed, in your load order.
So, I placed it to load after those 4, including after We Are The Minutemen (im using older version of it btw, 5.2.1, the newest one doesnt work for me, idk if it matters, since Im loading your mod after it) - still crashes. To be more speicific (idk if thats gonna help) - the game loads normally, I open the armor workbench - still okay, then when I try to modify the leather armor, go to the ''paint'' section - still runs normally, but as soon as I scroll to the option for the ''minutemen paint'' - THATS when it crashes. Its sooo confusing. Im at totall loss as to what I should do, lol. :D Hope more people download the mod so they can say if they experience the same and if they have any solutions. I REAAAAAAAAAALLY want this armor for my minutemen at the Castle.
Speaking of the Castle - I saw that you're planning on making a minutmen overhaul mod. Will this be compatible with things such as ''We are the minutemen" or "Far west minutemen"? EDIT: Nvm, Im just gonna join your discord about it and ask my dumb questions there :D <3
That's really unfortunate. I haven't had any issues with compatibility, so I can't tell you what's causing the crash. My only solution is to put it at the very bottom of your load order. I'll continue to try to figure out why the crashes are occurring.
I know thats a dummy question - but how do I put it on the bottom? I usually just use the ''manage rules" option in the plug ins and then choose to set rules to load after specific mods. How can i move it to the bottom , do I need to mark all of them?
No worries. Depends on what mod manager you're using. If you're using Nexus Mod Manager, or Mod Organizer, just drag the mod the the bottom. If you are using Vortex, then you need to open fallout to the main screen, click mods, select the mod you want to move (My Mod), click "reorder" and move it to the bottom, or as close to the bottom as it lets you.
I can confirm having the exact same problem as DuloVokul. I use ACO which is the only thing I can think of that would be causing a conflict. When I click into 'Paint' on Leather Armor, I will see two 'No Paint' options as well as the 'Minutemen Paint' option but as soon as I put my cursor over 'Minutemen Paint', I get an instant CTD. I've tried moving this mod to the bottom of my load order to no avail.
Done some testing. No issues on my end. Make sure your fallout 4 installation is fully up to date. This mod requires a fully updated game. I'll continue to investigate your issue.
No more CTDs; thanks for the fix! Looks great in-game too, well done.
Just a heads up (and I'm not sure if my mods may be affecting this) but I did still have two 'No Paint' options in the Workbench menu. I used xEdit to disable the 'No Paint' OMOD from this mod to get rid of the duplicate, which worked fine.
Aye thank you. Yeah the duplicate "No paint" is because of AWKCR. My mod adds in a "No Paint" omod, and AWKCR adds in it's own "No Paint" omod. Glad you were able to remove it, and I'm glad you like the mod.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES YES YES YES YES YES , THANK YOUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It works just fine and there are absolutely no problems, I LOVE IT!. YOU'RE THE GOAT!
I've done some extensive testing today. There is no reason that it should be crashing. The only thing that I suspect could be causing the issues, is that your game is not up to date. This mod requires a fully up to date installation of fallout 4. I'll continue to monitor this issue, and look into it more.
