Mod is great except for the inclusion of Dixie.  I know it was in FO3 but I'd rather not listen to it.
I'd really like a version of this mod that doesn't have that, until then I'd rather use other mods.

It's fine but I do not understand why they would be playing confederate songs when its Boston and they are based on the ideals of the US not slave states.

if you look at it from a in world view, they have no way of knowing the "rights" mentioned in the songs are slavery, because very, very little us history survived the war. so just listening to the songs, they seem like a good message without context.

Don't know if you know this, but the Commonwealth Provisional Government and the Minutemen's system as established by the player are both confederate in structure, meaning membership is optional/opt-in and government is decentralized. The Minutemen may not be associated with the CSA, but they are literally confederates and would likely be very opposed to the idea of strong, centralized government a la the federal government.

In the 1950s and generally up till very recently, Confederate songs were seen as part of greater American musical culture. The Enclave Radio for example also plays Confederate tunes, specifically an instrumental of I Wish I Was In Dixie. New York, which is only a state away, had a very large pro Confederate presence for many generations. Outside the South, all throughout the United States(and even parts of Canada I've heard but can't confirm), Confederate identity is also tied to white working and lower class identity as well. Not trying to sugar coat, but in an alternate 1950s esque world, Confederate music would remain part of American culture. How much it's accepted depends on things like if the 1965 immigration act was implemented, cultural attitude shift(which based on evidence from New Vegas our 60s didn't seem to start taking hold till around the late 2070s), and general demographics, which outside the South and South West, United States diversity levels would completely collapse in the event of a nuclear apocalypse.
So yes, Confederate music is very lore friendly.

I played Point Lookout in Fallout 3 recently. Plik's Safari in Coastal Grotto, there's a Black dude who wears a confederate hat.
3 of the major slaver leaders are black. Eulogy Jones, Ashur and Leroy Walker.

I don't think the wasteland really knows about that era's history of slavery.

Another thing to remember .. this is OBVIOUSLY an alternate universe.  In 2077 they had 1950s cars, music, computers,  etc.

However, they had advanced past our current technology in several areas. Fusion power and other advanced technology (cryogenics, AI, cybernetics, etc.)

In keeping with and reference to Buzz's comment, overcentralized government is associated with both the War and the Enclave. The music may have been adapted from ENB (What can I say? Old World Radio's always been on my list!) but I can assure you the Enclave agenda was not.

The Confederate songs are a nice touch. For those that do not think they are lore friendly  They are in Fallout 3.
Every playthrough i do I pick a different theme so this is a nice touch.

I get your reasoning for having Dixie along with the other music, but I'd really rather have a version without it. Shame, cuz there's lots of good music in here.

I've broadly enjoyed this mod, but I am finding myself swapping the XMVs back to WAVs just so that I can find the Dixie song and remove it. I don't know why that is in here. It's lore-unfriendly given what S7UBBS said quite succinctly, and it's very awkward trying to stream the game when a pro-confederacy, pro-slavery song begins playing.

Strange... at start of using this mod  `radio freedom`    play many different tracks.
But after some time it stuck around 2 melodies... "To Arms in Dixie" and some kind of hymn without words.
Please excuse me. I am not American, i can not  identify it.
Yes. I  was deleted and installed some mods during this time.
But no one mods about radio.

    Any ideas?

PS: Excuse my bad english... :(
