if i use Survival_Damage_1x1 before this (which makes incoming and outgoing x1) would loading this after that mod make it x3 for in/out? or would this overwrite that one?
I find it highly likely that the two mods edit the same asset, trying to accomplish the same kind of thing, just with different numbers. There is no reason to use both since one would likely overwrite the other.
A problem with mods like this I feel... doesn't it make VATS way too overpowered?
If you can deal 3x more dmg to enemies, you're likely going to one-shot kill most things. If you use VATs, you can also then use less AP and one-shot kill multiple enemies at once. Isn't that too overpowered
The V.A.T.S. system used in Fallout 4 is not really something that ties in well with the whole survival game experience in the first place. As such, it's reasonable to expect that the type of player to find a mod like this suitable for their gameplay preferences also never uses V.A.T.S. in their game to begin with. In other words, this mod has not taken V.A.T.S. into consideration, and doesn't really need to either.
It would perhaps be technically compatible, but it's likely it wouldn't be a good idea to use them alongside each other. FallExD is supposed to be sort of a balancing feature for the vanilla game, whereas BLD is doing something similar, but more extensively and with a different approach. All in all, using both at the same time would likely cause the game to be imbalanced.
Thanks for making this. Always nice to have another mod like this. Especially if it is really simple and straightforward. I am with you that the game really needs something like this, the combat needs to be more tactical and more dangerous.
Maybe add to the description what are the multipliers?
Shouldn't be so dismissive of your own mod. I'd hardly call it obsolete. Anything that makes the game more fun is a win in my book. Plus I always trust newer mods like this over older ones just cause it seems like older ones give me this thing where ill play for a bit than arbitrarily a part of the map will cause crashes for no reason if it loads into that area. So that save and usually character ends up messed up royally.
So from me to you THANKS! Have a kickass day my dude :)
Edit: I put the word funnier but i mean more fun . . clearly my schooling didn't stick; and so now the ghost of my English teachers shall soon come to reap my soul </3 xD
I would not call it being dismissive, but rather looking at it from a realistic point of view. There are mods on the Nexus that can do the exact same thing as this one, but come with configurable options and detailed menus, giving the player far more freedom to adjust their settings.
FallExD is a mod originally made for personal use when I felt installing one from the Nexus seemed too complicated. With that being said though, I was never that good with these sorts of installations and compatibility issues. I found it much easier to go into the Creation Kit and just make a new mod that I felt fitted my preferences.
Overall, the mod seems to work perfectly the way it's intended, is simple to install, and it has a massive impact on the game. But that's about all there is to it. It lacks all the detailing and customisation that the majority of players are interested in when looking for a combat mod.

I would suggest to add one more optional version of the mod, which adds multiplier to x5.
