and a btw, i have noticed that for this area it is easier to just quickly do all the experiments and unlock all areas before transferring settlements. One play-through i did i tried doing it before finishing the experiments and all of a sudden it was asking if i wanted to scrap Barstow.
Scrap everything?! That’ll be a hard pass, my friend. That mod does nothing but break games and Vault 88 is a case in point. The mole rats and scorpion tunnels will cause our games to freeze then crash. This is sexy, but nothing is worth downloading that clusterfuck of a mod ver again.
The change he made with turning bUseCombinedObjects off is what changed it for me, the only reason I put it as required is because it was the easiest for me to scrap all the items I was looking to scrap. You can use whatever method you wish.....there are other less obtrusive scrap MODs or you can always disable stuff. I appreciate the compliment of the looks, maybe I will remove it as a required and give better instructions.
It was redone a year or so ago, maybe a little longer, and I haven't had any problems with it since. It only turns of the precombines in settlements, and they were all regenerated for V88 and the Mechanist's lair after making making everything but the structure scrappable (mostly)
I've never had the issue with the scorpions and molerats you're describing. I'm not saying you should give it another chance, I'm just saying that a lot, if not all, of the problems it had in the older versions were ironed out.
I hate to miss out on this mod, because it is a beautiful set up, but Ive been burned by Scrap Everything too many times, late 2018 I uninstalled it and never used it again.
I've been working on a settlement blueprint for vault 88 for over three years now, debating back and forth whether to finally finish it. This inspires me again, thank you. Maybe you'll see my blueprint on the Nexus in the coming month.
