Hey friend, I love how this vault suit looks! It sticks to the vanilla based design but feels fresher with the new textures and designing and I haven't really seen any vault suit mods that do that. I know this was created in 2020 so you've probably moved away from this but if you ever was open to taking requests I would fall in love with a weathered version of this. For example it looking dirtier and maybe having a bloodied bandage wrapped around a leg, maybe even a part of the vault suit ripped like they've been attacked by a dog or something. I'm currently running a Hardcore Nuclear Apocalypse modlist and this would fit so perfectly as i mainly run the Vault suit + light leather armor. I completely understand if you don't want to or are unable to but i thought i'd ask just in case.
Thanks. Unfortunately my hard drive that had original files of this have died awhile back,so I would have to remake it. Maybe one day I'll give it another shot.
For anyone else confused like I was - this mod only contains the dirty variant of the vault suit textures, so the vault suits will take on vanilla textures for clean variants (such as the ones most of the vault 81 settlers wear, or when you're in vault 111 on game start!).
If you want to use the same textures for the clean variant, I'd make a new file and copy over everything in Textures/Clothes/VaultSuit from this mod into a new folder. Remove the word 'dirty' from each filename (leaving the rest intact!). Put them back into the original folder. The textures will then be the same. There will be no visible difference between dirty and clean this way in-game, but it's better than nothing!
Also a side-note, these retextures are compatible with Vault Outfits Redux, which is an awesome way to get a bright gold trim and snazzy belt added to these :)
It's a shame that this doesn't change the texture for the clean variant, especially considering that this texture is pretty clean on its own. I would make a dirty version and swap the textures for myself, but I'm all-thumbs when it comes to texture work.
