Old question I know, but the answer is save-games have to keep track of all changes. This is why FO4 (and other open-world games) have cell resets at all - it isn't really a game-play thing, if they didn't reset at all your save-game file will eventually become impossibly huge. And it's not simply more cell items = bigger saves, it's more changes to original cell = bigger saves. The longer the reset period the more world-changes your save-game file has to keep track of. This means if you have massively long reset times your save-game could become unstable through sheer size, especially by the late-game in a heavily modded playthru. Keep respawn times reasonable. Doubling vanilla times should be fine, but beyond that maybe not. Another mod I've read up on, Delayed Respawn, says up to a month for uncleared cells (and 3 months for cleared-cells) is the maximum stable limit folks should reasonably consider.
Problem solved. I chose the longest reset period, but because time passes much slower in my game (which is much more immersive), there are few changes, and there is no save bloating.
This mod somehow fixed up my mod setting and run my game after may crashes. I have so many quest and additional zones added in. I've tried to uninstall all and work my load order out. I need these mods in my game because the Fallout 4 is made by Bethesda. Getting this mod changes the fact my guns eat though ammo and weak drops for nothing. The scaling level mods can only do so much for the unholy spawning ever 5 in game days in run past the area cleared out. I can't walk a for an hour from A to B and then to C for some fun.
... beware, this resets EVERYTHING! - even the work done to Sanctuary was all reset as if I did NOTHING to it. I have to rebuild everything and start over.
I wish I had a better understanding before I used this mod. I will take it that I missed some "Fine Print".
That isn't this mod doing that, you have another mod that is giving you the cell reset bug. This mod just adjusts a game setting that already exists, it's pretty safe.
Does this mod work? I tried it and a few other mods that respawn enemies and remove the cleared faster but nothing seems to work.
I even console command the cell respawn to 6hrs and nope doesnt work. Everything stays the same for the default 7/20 and no mods or console commands get around this.
I want my 6hr respawns of areas and interiors like I did in fo3.
I did not have any of these issues when I did not have the dlc. Not sure if those are connected

Added more respawn delays so for those who want less have got it. Delays now range from 24 hours to 6 odd months.
