About this mod

You knew doomsday would come. just didn't know when... so you
prepared. You have a safe in your old closet with a dresser on top. It has your bug-out gear inside. Start with 7 particular perks.

Permissions and credits
Bug-Out Gear: There's a floor-safe in your old house in the bedroom closet. It has a dresser on top of it. Salvage/move the dresser and access the floor-safe. There are enough supplies/weapons to get you on your way. (see images)

BACKSTORY
Your whole life you couldn’t quite find your niche. You were decent at most of the things you tried, particularly anything needing a little finesse, but when you joined the military… brother, that’s where you shined. Though the captains didn't like you, they sent you in when information was needed and failure was not an option. You were the best they had. Cracking padlocks and passwords with feet quiet as a cat’s and face as stony as Rushmore.

No one could read you; no one dared to cross you. They knew it wasn’t luck that got you your reputation. It always creeped your girl out how you would walk through the house without making the floorboards creak, but she sure appreciated it when little Shaun came along. Your intense training combined natural skill did fade over 200 years but you managed to retain some of it.

  • Locksmith 1

ROLE PLAY SUGGESTIONS (these are just suggestions. If you don't care for it, subbstitute.)
  • As an infiltrator, you prefer staying unseen and using silenced weapons.
  • Make leveling hacking/lockpicking a mild priority. No secrets/supplies evade your grasp!
  • Stay away from head-on CoD style assaults.
  • Berry Mentats are your best resource. Craft/buy them as often as needed. When you're being hunted, Berry Mentats make YOU the hunter.
  • You are a loner. I recommend no companions. Human or otherwise. There's no relying on meatshields. Only your cunning skill.
  • You prefer to live alone away from settlers. Bunker down at the Red Rocket early game.
  • Perception and Agility are the primary attributes. Followed by Intelligence.
  • Luck and Charisma are only rank 1. As hinted in the backstory. But Luck could be a powerful attribute in this build.
  • Persona; You don't take BS from anyone and you don't care what they think about you. You don't need them anyway.
  • No health-restoring food during combat. Use Stimpaks. Utility foods that up AP etc. are ok to use.

TIPS
  • Turn off music and let the ambient sound immerse you
  • Leave the difficulty on survival and don't use cheats
  • Some missions will be way too hard. postpone it and go back when you're stronger. It's tempting to lower the difficulty. DON'T GIVE IN!
  • Plenty of black pipboy skins on Nexus that look stealthy. May want to give one a go.

THINGS TO KNOW:
  •  You start OUTSIDE the vault. (you can use console command: "showlooksmenu 14" if you hate the way he looks) (use showspecialmenu to change name)
  •  This is intended to be played on survival difficulty without cheats (other than the supplies prepared)
  •  You will need to run a .bat file to apply the skills he retained from his former training. See Installation below. (file included in download)
  •  May possibly inhibit some achievements.

INSTALLATION (it's easy)
step 1 - Extract and place the savefile in documents/mygames/fallout4/saves
step 2 - Extract the file "perks7" into your Fallout 4 directory. This will be the same folder as the Launcher and Data Folder.
Mine was (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4)
step 3 - launch Fallout4 and load saved game.
step 4 -  Press ~ key. (Located left of the '1' Number Key.) and type "perks7" without the quotations.
This will give you the perks/skills he retained from his former training.
 (listed above)
