If you encounter this bug that the "use" activator remains after you remove the pod, just break/store the "Disable me!" object. Or you can also disable it by a console command.
Is this compatible with Get Dirty or is there a patch? Would love to use it with it. I imagine in the meantime I'd have to put a bar of soap near the shower, use that and then use the shower for immersive purposes.
After placing a shower it works and looks fine until I reload or come back to that settlement. Then part of the water is purple. I'm guessing it's missing a texture, but I don't understand why it looks fine when I first place it. Anyone else encounter this?
It sometimes occurs on my end too, but I don't know why... It will be fixed by removing the shower and placing it again. Sorry for the inconvenience!
I guess it is caused by change of load order of the esp, which might cause some kind of error, and my shower nifs could fail to load the splash effect.
Turn the shower off after use, go and play like you normally do. Now after you soak up some rads or just wanna take a hot nice shower after a long day of exploration, turn the shower on, it should be normal as it should be. In my case, never had the purple bug again when I turn it off every use.
Downloaded and installed only the main file. Got the purple water texture bug, found a very easy way to fix it without the need for any patch. Just like how we use showers in real life, we turn the damn thing off after use. Edit; After playing for a few hours turns out it rarely turn purple again but if I fast travel to other settlement and use the shower there its normal. So in conclusion, the purple is random but mostly very rare if you turn it off after every use.
Added a patch in misc section, for some people who experienced purple texture issue for the shower effects. But it's basically came from the vanilla BSAs, so you should just verify the game data I think.
texture details: Three loose files for the water splash and smoke. I extracted them from vanilla BSA, reduced dds compression noise by cupscale, and compressed them into BC7. This process does not mean improvement, since they are small textures, so we can't find the difference in my opinion. Just putting the loose files should solve the purple texture issue.
