Using this with Fallout 4 VR. Not sure the the injector scripts are working.. I tried unflagging them as ESL (Fallout 4 VR isn't compatible with ESL), but I'm not sure that helped. I'm going to keep playing, but I haven't seen any equipment show up so far, but lots of naked raiders.
Hm - if the Raider/Settler patches can’t load no injection will happen, so naked raiders are caused by something else. However, the esl-flag doesn’t matter since the injection scripts are all in the core mod, and only look for the exakt file name of the patches to see if they are loaded. I don’t have VR so can’t test and it’s possible this mod uses script functions that don’t exist in the very dated VR- version - Bethesda still hasn’t updated it, right?
I’m also playing in VR and I’m seeing intermittent naked settlers. I’ve had at least 4 so far. Two with only hats, two fully nude. 3 women and one man. More than a dozen other settlers are fine.
I also haven’t seen any outfits that look new on common settlers.
I suspect it’s this mod?
Can I uninstall this mod safely mid game? I’m also using the Grease Rat Scavenger mod, if that matters.
@MockLogic Are the naked settlers wearing hats from our mod? There’s really nothing in this mod that I can think of could cause naked settlers/raiders, but again, I don’t have VR so I can’t verify. Best would be if either of you could verify that naked npcs appear on a new save with only our mod installed, as to rule out mod conflicts. Generally, Bethesda games do not support removing mods mid game. If you still want to remove this mod I suggest keeping a backup save that you can go back to if you notice issues after removing the mod.
Having now poked around in my modlist via xEdit for a while, I no longer think Grease Rats is the problem.
It turns out I have not one, but two mods that interact with settler gear I hadn't expected to, and my generated Complex Item Sorter mod is further mudding the situation.
I cant play without this mod its 110% essential! perfect for my Engineer character who has a screw loose, and none of the outfits stat wise are over the top! keep up the good work ^.^
this file "Grease Rat Garbs - Raider Leveled List Patch" is empty? there is only an empty ESP in it no scripts nothing and the esp does not have records in it is this normal?
Absolutely amazing clothing mod. 💪 My only complaint is that my eyes do not get blessed enough by the rather infrequent appearance of the outfits. Hoping you could add an optional file for a 50% chance for raiders to wear these garbs, or if its possible for me (a certified dummy) to maybe tweak its appearance chance on raiders via FO4Edit?
Thank you! We did want the outfits to feel rare and that when you see them on a raider you'd go "YEESS!" and not "Oh, not another raider in a tutu". That said, if you have mods that also add to the same leveled lists as we do, they become even more rare than we meant them to be.
You can tweak the chance in FO4Edit, but for the outfits it's a bit complex - it's easier for the backpacks that have a percentage chance to spawn. You could also edit the vanilla leveled lists directly, this tutorial by fadingsignal shows how it works for Skyrim and it's the same for Fallout 4.
Am I understanding this correctly that in order to have these items show up randomly on raiders and/or settlers, I need to install one or both of the leveled list patches? If I install only the Grease Rat Garbs - Vanilla file, for example, the only thing that will do is make it possible to craft these in the chemistry bench and then I can manually equip myself or settlers with them, is that correct?
hi there, sorry english is not my native lang and im a little confused i mean: the optional files are 'empty', so do i really need them? i dont understand this
Yes you need the optional files if you want the outfits in the leveled lists. The script injection is in the core mod and listens for if the names of the empty files are enabled in your load order.
Wanted to say these are so cool. Gives enough newness to Raiders I find myself slowing down looking through their dead body loot inventory to see if they have something new. Waiting to start some Nuka-World places so my collection of outfits can fit the people there.
Love the backpacks. Nuked, Tinkerer? and the little hugging bear one are my favorites.

This mod works both on Next Gen version and Old Gen version of Fallout 4.

Sorry for the false alarm.

However, the easiest way to make the outfits more common is to use these excellent mods:
Grease Rat Garbing by WhiskyTangoFawks
Grease Rat Scavengers by rsm000rsm
Happy playing!
Thank You
(I figured it out eventually - thanks for the mod - I love it!)
