Thanks for your interest in this aspect of the game. Getting FO4 more like FO3 bit by bit, much needed but still a long way to go, so more please! This and the original are almost enough to make me want to use power armour in Fallout 4 - almost. In FO3 & FNV my character longed for and got into PA asap and almost never took it off. Yet in FO4 I can't bear it - the hud, the excessive height, the inability to even sit down, that it requires a repair station, that it requires lots of repair/maintaining when unpowered combat armour doesn't, that it chews through fusion cores - cores which in other usages are enough to run a small power station for 200yrs...

After my initial experience in Concord I was completely put off by PA in FO4. What were Bethesda thinking?! But I felt I had to build a really good set of PA to traverse the Glowing Sea to see Virgil a couple of times, level 30-ish - still hated it and never wore again, 40 levels later.

Readers might like to know power armour was the very first thing made for FO4, then its sidearms (it's why 10mm pistols are oversized - to look right for oversized characters in PA). And I think it's why another total bork - ballistic weave - was later hastily shoved into the game. It's because FO4's PA is such a total freaking mess but it was too late to take their borked cornerstone out of the game, so they came up with another ill considered bork to provide a means of at least being able to play the later game without the awful PA.

What FO4 needs is FO3's PA and all other FO3 armours, and with their slow degradations! And no weave! Ok, old man rant over. Move along.

This is one hell of a retroactive patch y'know, with the original being released December of 2015. I'd give it a try if I didn't have to uninstall "Some Assembly Required (Plus Legendary Patch)" mid-game since it's too big for that to be a wise idea.
Edit: I will be trying it in my next character, is what I meant to write.

the original mod is the only one that does this the way I liked it so there was no point in doing it from scratch..I made something to work alongside it and since I never use power armor cause it's op I had to do something to change that, I never rly used it since the game came out, only thing left is to edit armor legendary effects mainly to change sentinel to a bit lower value, I'm learning as I go..I'd be good at texture mods but I work in a similar field so I just wanna learn something new.
