Looks like it's going to come to life after all.

Nice model. I thought about porting it, but before I get to that, could you upload the high poly version? Or if you've baked normal maps from the high poly, that would be even better. It looks pretty good even without textures, but having some normal maps on it would be a plus.

Well, I downloaded 3DS Max and Blender to try and learn UV unwrapping. Looks like you already unwrapped the textures, and I got far enough to export them to .png files. Then it occurred to me that even though I know how to edit texture files, I have no idea how to actually link the textures to the specific parts of the model. Even then, I also don't know how to put it all together so it works in Fallout 4. Don't even know where to begin when it comes to looking up tutorials.

It's definitely a process. But if you are looking for tutorials, look in the forums and there is a page dedicated to providing links for different things. And use YouTube. Alot.

@mcspinny Unfortunately it isn't going to happen for me. I tried and tried in Blender and 3DS Max, but I'm just too unfamiliar with modeling software. I spent hours trying to look a tutorials, but they were all either too basic and unrelated, or too advanced and time consuming. Someone else is gonna have to get this working in Fallout 4 with a texture. I only got as far as finding the UV maps for the textures, but could never get past that. Once someone else does this, I'd be glad to do a retexture. I'm honestly surprised and kind of P'd off that this mod didn't get more attention from the community. Everybody knows the default FO4 train engine model is a hot pile of trash. People have been waiting YEARS for a model like this to come out, and now that we have one, nobody has done anything with it.

YESSS!!! I can't wait till someone turns this into a replacer mod for the current Fallout 4 engines. They look so God-awful. I've been waiting for this for YEARS! Thank you :D

Any chance of getting some vintage Pullman-style cars as well? I'd love to try to retexture it/use creation kit to make a wreckage site for the Super Chief.

I do have some that I've been working on and if I find time to finish them, I will certainly add them.

Well I never lost my subscription, just access to 2014 version so no collisions. I guess there are other ways but time is the rarest commodity I have right now.

I like trains, hope someone makes this standalone, all the other comments talking about replacing the nuclear steam engines.
