Before I start really working on something else - I’m going to do one final update that will add a few more skins (time permitting), some more optics, a few more muzzle attachments. Short of huge bugs - that will be the last update until the animation update. So the STI will go into maintenance mode afterwards until I finish the animation suite. I want to get this as complete as I can before I decide what to do next. Some of you may have seen the Benelli I’ve been working on. Truthfully I’m not feeling the passion for the benelli right now. Part of that is the great amount of work it needs. I’m looking at what people want and what people enjoy most right now.
So I’ve got my eye out for some new assets. This doesn’t mean the benelli isn’t happening. Just not what’s next. Shotguns especially on the animation side are proving very labor intensive.
I’ve got a few things I’d like to do - but most of them are handguns which for obvious reasons I want to diversify before I start on those.
In case anyone is wondering, had some stuff happen with my cousin - he had sudden liver failure. I may have to be a living donor for him, and had to drop my car off in Boston so family could use it. Until this is resolved I'm gonna be taking a small break from projects I'm working on. Hope you all can understand, I'll be back!
After reading the description of this, I'd like to ask for some clarification... Is the gun's damage, recoil and whatnot modeled after 9mm or 10mm? I ask because I actually have a 2011 in both 9mm and 10mm in the real world, and there is NO comparison. The 10mm can take down a grizzly and makes the 9mm look like a .22 by comparison. As far as I'm concerned, 9mm has no real place in the Fallout wasteland. The threats are just too big for such a "civilized" caliber.
9mm has a place - because women and small children need to start somewhere. Same goes with .410 Bore/20 Gauge. ----- If I (the player character) were the only one that needed to be concerned with I'd only have 1 pistol platform and be done with it. .45 Caliber pistol capable of firing 35/45, 40/45, 45 and 460 Rowland all with 1 weapon platform and all with just 1 base casing. Neck it down and/or load it depending on what your needs are. Target Shooting, Light Hunting, Self Defense, Big Bore Hunting/Defense, Suppressed Subsonic, etc. ----- Then you grab a big revolver if you need something with a little more ooomph - or break out a Desert Eagle....
"women can't handle 10mm" Then what am I? Also choosing .45 which has comparable muzzle velocity to a 9mm over a 10mm, especially in the Fallout universe where the least of your worries is an unarmored street thug is... interesting... It's honestly sounds like you're less gearing up to survive the Fallout waste land and more like like you're trying to mildly annoy its apex predators.
Lucy, I have no doubt you love guns. I do however doubt that you have ever had to use a firearm in a scenario where it was demanded.
All of these files are freely available for you to edit and modify as you see fit. I encourage this. I am no longer able to maintain this, both due to life and personal disinterest at the moment. I only ask that if you use any assets I made, that are not the property of PGS, (the textures and sounds are my own efforts, so please credit those if you do decide to get into creating. You are free to use them however.)
i just started a new game and when i pick up the 10mm in vault 101, its disassembled and uses the sti animations like running and unequipping. shooting causes mz pc to crash. i disabled the mod and the 10mm is normal again. your mod isnt conflicting any of my mods either (according to vortex that is)
Edit: nvm, my bad, downloaded the wrong tactical reload patch
tbh, most mods including fx0x01's mods allow chem bench crafting... the small quest is extra work that a lot of modders (me included) don't particularly need or want to do.
call it dark humor man. I love these weapons but I am a fan of having a quest to do to get the said weapon mod. Its the main selling point for me because "here's a weapon for you to craft it at chem bench" when you are FORCED to install AWCKR by other mods is meh boooring (sheogorath voice reading of word "boring") mod for me to have. Basically just the "here's a weapon for you to craft" without a quest makes me just not want to download so I will stick with the few weapon quests Fx give so far. I know I miss out a lot on "quality" custom animated weapons & sounds and this is just me venting out but if I don't then nothing will ever change in this world. Look I didn't even plan on saying all this stuff that makes me feel sad about nexus community but we are someone behind internet and we as humans have feelings that need to be said. Have a good day and I'm sorry if my posts are not what you might expected or if I caused any issues.
I'm an occasional modder and I suck at quests. I would probably muck it up if I tried to implement a quest in one of my mods and I'm probably not alone. Love this gun BTW. I actually own one IRL, too. :D
Edit: Oh, mine's not from STI, but it's the same type.
I don't know if you'll ever read this, but I'm gonna type it anyway.
I have played a lot of Fallout 4. I have installed a lot of mods. I have fired a lot of guns.
This might be my favorite one.
I love the feel, I love the look, I love the sound, I love the functionality. This thing is a perfect 10/10, and if I were to own a handgun I would want it to be this one.
I still see 'em. :) Just life is a wild ride and I have not had the motivation to put myself back into that space. I did go on to make some weapons for a doom mod, Live Through Doom.
I made the shotgun, BFG, Revolver, and auto-shotty. (so far)
Very very nice, it's a real shame this never got its final updates, especially that great looking reload animation, cheers regardless! Hope you come back to the modding scene again some day

Love you all,

You are *welcome* to take the torch.

Edit: nvm, figured it out.

good luck.

Fallout 4 Creation Kit - Basic Quest Tutorial 1
Now with that female voiced video there should be no issues on making these fetch quests. Hope it helps.

Absolutely stellar job, fine work.
