Thanks for these but it seems all 4 of your conversions were broken with the latest FG update. In bodyslide I'm seeing huge gaps between the leg and the ankle.
Can confirm, I see the same. But it can also be an issue with the latest FG update to be honest. It even somehow broke my BodySlide for FG (i.e. I can't make it to work so that what I see in BodySlide and in game is the same).
Ah, that might have been my 'oops' with the zaps not bein quite right, it's a pain to see in OS sometimes, and I apparently forgot to check it quickly in BS first. Shouldn't be long to fix that.
It practically HAS to be a hack job approach. The bodies don't line up at the feet. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44920?tab=files This is the mod where they converted the shoes into some other bodies other than FG.
Yeah, I'll look into doing most/all of them, but it's a right pain to do.
Namely because as you mentioned, they don't line up really anywhere around the foot/ankle, so you needa mess with either the shoe itself, or the body, to try and get it fitting, and not being noticeably deformed. Ideally, a more precise conversion reference, particularly for the feet/lower leg, would solve a lot of the issues, but that's obviously also easier than it sounds. As it is, ya basically need to find a line where the transition can either be somewhat hidden, such as with these, behind part of the shoe/boot, or try and blend it into the legs as inconspicuously as possible.
Open-foot heels are the worst for that, 'cause there's absolutely nowhere to hide it.
Nebuchadnezzer92. great minds think alike, my friend. I guess we've been making a parallel effort, like Newton and Leibniz. It took me three weeks to develop the method and make the first conversion. How about you? Now it takes 30- 40 minute for each one, including checking and fixing the slider extremes in Outfit Studio.
Longest part for me, was getting my head 'round some of what the conversion references were doin, and methods for adjusting/hiding s#*! effectively.
Few weeks before my initial conversion upload, I ran through all of HN66's EasyGirl stuff for myself, messed with a couple others, and a week or two later, uploaded the first published conversion
Depending on what the 'outfit'/mod entails, it can take anywhere from 5mins max, to 5 hours. Heels take longer, 'cause it's finicky, but this one was under an hour, probably ~30mins. Main reason I'm not cranking conversions out like a madman is my own sanity, really. I'll do one or two, publish that, and take a break for a while.
Yeah, you did a good job with this. I'd like to know how you did this, and give it a go. Looks interesting in Outfit Studio.I'll credit you in any mod I make your way.. Yours works (body can be tweaked in game) with the Fusion Girl Looksmenu Sliders and BodGen mod. Mine looks good and you can build any body shape you want, but you can't tweak it in game.
@Teddy48 Saw the message too, was tired, figured I'd cover things here so others can also learn/ask questions, like Canton here
Short version?
Convert as normal, zap as much of the FG-body foot as you can get away with, blend FG bodies legs into existing leg as seamlessly as possible, while minimising changes to the outfit/objects.
It's a lot more difficult if the shoe/heel originally has no separate or fitted "foot" with it, but you can in theory separate a good portion of the foot from the body before converting, and blend into that, but I've not really done so thus far, but it should work fine. Sometimes it's also a good idea to Move the CBBE -> FG ref body/FG body to better line up the feet to the shoe/heel, so the sliders conform better/at all. I've loaded up the FG body and adjusted the HighHeels slider to 100% and Set Base Shape as well, when doing some, so they better fit sliders.
Given how few sliders affect the lower leg/foot, it's a bit less problematic, at least that I've noticed, as long as the 'base shape' fits pretty well, too.
As you may know, I did the whole IceStorm mod. Sorry I didn't see this post. When you didn't reply to my message I though you weren't interested in keeping the conversation going.
When I tried my own method on one of IceStorm's shoes, I found that the in game sliders worked fine. So I went back to investigate my Lazman project and found that the reason that my conversions didn't work with in game sliders is that the originals didn't work either. So while I was asking around and trying to figure that out I decided to go after a few IceStorm ones since you said you hated doing them. I got on roll and could do each one in 20 minutes, so I did them all. No disrespect intended in including the several that you did--I just wanted to make a whole mod. In fact I'm gonna go back to my page and point to yours for people who just want to pick a few..
Yeah, Nexus' post/forum system could use some work. Kinda a pain to track/check on posts you've made.
And I take no offense or disrespect, I'll do the rest soon enough anyway, as I think the method you used (stickin CBBE legs on FG torso) is a bit self-defeating, but you do you.
Well, there was a lot more to it than the phrase "stickn' CBBE legs on FG torso" implies, and I'm sure you know that But why do you think it was self-defeating? .

As usual, lemme know if there ARE any issues. :)
Edit: Updated for FG v1.75
Edit#2: Fixed the zaps causing some gaps in the ankles.
needed some HHS love for FG play throughs

Edit: There, should be good.
(If any of em are curious, I'd be happy to point out how, even if my method is a bit of a 'hack-job' approach)
