    *Update*
Thanks to the gracious efforts by fellow Nexus member ForgetfulLucy, there is now a comparison video demonstrating the default sounds followed by my modded sounds up on the description page!

    Happy gaming!

I must apologize to you all for the amount of time it has taken me to upload the new sounds I recorded. I've been in the hospital again and it really put me behind on things.

Anyway, the new sets of sounds have been recorded and uploaded. Now you can choose either the "indoor" version, or the "outdoor" version. If you are new to the mod, I recommend you download both and see which one you prefer.

Thanks for all your support, as well as your patience!

I think this is great, but as a gun owner I can tell that the slide was being pulled indoors (Or rather it's just the decibels are louder than it should be). Can you add a version that is outdoors? The vanilla one is boring, but you can tell in your video the difference between the "indoor" reload sound and the "outdoor". I really want to use your mod. Thanks!!!

Sorry for the delayed response, been having medical problems for quite a few months and it's kept me away from the computer and in bed.

You have very perceptive ears! Yes, I recorded it indoors. My reason for this was at the time I recorded it, it was winter, and I live in Phoenix (Arizona, USA with a metro population of over 4 million for those not familiar with US locations) and during the winter when it is cool out, the ambient sounds really carry. And the cities size just adds to the extra noise. So the noise contamination was outrageous on my recordings. The video I had up was filmed with my cell phone, so the sound quality wasn't anywhere near as good as the equipment I use to record the sound effects I actually work on, so you can't really distinguish all the ambient noise interference that my recording equipment is able to.
I had actually originally planned on doing it outside, but the noise levels are quite high from road traffic and neighbors, plus I am only a few miles from Luke Air Force Base and they are using the new F-35's there and during the winter, all day long you can hear the ridiculously loud jet engines, almost non-stop. Now that it's summer, the 115F (46C) temps are keeping the extra ambient levels down. In fact, I haven't heard one of the F-35's since about March now that I think of it...
Anyway, I'll get to recording and re-uploading them again and label them as being recorded outdoors so people can choose.

Again, so sorry it took so long. I'll try recording tonight. Right now, one of my neighbors next door is weed-whacking and I can hear it inside the house.

Haha no worries. Sent you a pm reply. Endorsed the mod to get you up there. If I record my Kimber 1911 slide with a quality device you're welcome to it to add to your modding. No need to pm me when you update, I'm always on the Nexus checking mods! Thanks again!

I recorded the sounds last night outside and am currently working on them. Once I match up the sounds properly and all that good stuff I will release the "Outside" version, and rename the old files to "inside" version. I figure I'll give everybody a choice on which ones they want to use.
There is a significant difference for sure that I've noticed while working with the new ones. Thank you so much for reminding me to record them!
I should have them up either later today or tomorrow. We currently have company so I'll see if I have time before I go to bed.

I like that crispy sound every time my character reloads the pistol. I think it's a lot better than the softer vanilla sound. Thanks.

    that preview though -.-

seriously just make some sort of video with the sound files, vanilla and mod, no need for in-game

I was just gonna post something snarky along the lines of "Oh look, another sound mod that I will never download since it has no preview." but I will leave you with this instead..

Just a heads up for you and others making sound replacer mods.. if you don't have a video with a demonstration you lose a lot of potential downloads. I for one won't even bother with any sound mod I can't hear any sample of ahead of time, and I know many others are the same way.

I have no idea how to take videos of gameplay. I've never done it before, never needed to, so I never looked into it.

Also, I didn't realize it was mandatory for people that make sound mods to actually go to all the trouble of learning to record video from your desktop, making a YouTube account, posting said video to YouTube account, then posting it on the front all for something that replaces sounds.
      So I apologize for that.

When it came to sound mods, I always just downloaded them, then opened them in a standard media player like Windows Media Player, and heard them for myself and decided if I liked them or not. Hence, my not knowing videos were necessary.

In light of this, if you could point me in the direction of a good way of recording the videos required, I will go ahead and learn all that stuff.

      Thanks.

I agree the video helps a lot, I myself would download and listen to stuff in wav format
HOWEVER xwm or w/e audio file formating radiant engine uses, I can't play unless ingame, and (I guess) it's a compressed format which would probably help performance once you have enough sound files to make a difference

      Here's a XWM converter by vikichan: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3159/?

plus the sound replacing mods that does have video preview are way more user-friendly for downloads and etc. I have to agree with the guy above's statment tought I do not agree with the posture in which he presented his opinion, he does have a point

NVidia has software that enables recording in-game, embedded to your GeForce Experience
I'm a 3D artist and I've always stuck with NVidia, but AMD may have similar fuctions on their software (catalyst)

another (far older) option is a software called Fraps, which was first born to record ingame footage but gained a few other functions over the years.. never used its recent versions but older ones had huge performance impact while recording, resulting into videos going shitty

I hope I was helpful, if you're into recording and have a couple of guns at home I hope you can present us some more good quality audio replacements, it really does spice up gameplay.. with video previews you can chain up more downloands and endorsements and maybe get an extra motivation to keep up the works

sorry for the bad english !

Been looking for a good nickname for my Deliverer Replica, and i must thank you for the idea.

*Covert Pistol* will fit just fine, along with this great mod... thank you for the effort and please, don't let this be your only donation. : )

This is actually my second mod, I did a version for the 10mm Pistol also using my Springfield XDM sounds.
I plan on continuing to do more as I can.
