Some NPC don't have facegen Data - I faced them in Rexford Hotel -  headless Blake and Morgan. Can anyone to add facegen to them? My FO4edit just doesn't want to open...

    Greetings,

Sorry to be a bit off topic but I have a question regarding the process of doing this myself. So I figured out how to export the facegen data via CK. It says that the export is successful but I can't find facegen files. I launched CK via MO2, and everyone on the internet say that it should be in my overwrite folder but it's not there either. Do you know where it is stored? I'm so confused, I've looked in my data folder, unpacked all of my meshes and textures ba2s to no avail. I just can't find the exported files. Please help. Thank you.

Hi, a "texture" and "mesh folder" should be generated in the overwrite folder

Hi, I'm attempting to use Tales of the Commonwealth - Vanilla Sized BA2. Dumb question but should this be positioned higher or lower than 3DNPC_FO4.esp? Or does it not matter for FaceGen data?

Hi, yes it should be positioned lower.
But I think this might not work actually in vanilla 3DNPC,
whereas the Optimization Patches Collection has all 3DNPC's flagged as Use Facegen Premade Textures.
So download his patch, and he also has premade faces.

Oh man, I totally forgot that mod did that and I already it installed aha! Of course I've assuming you mean Optimization and Compatibility for 3DNPC and BTInteriors (Tales from Commonwealth - Beantown Interiors)

H, should this be loaded before or after TFTC or doesn't it matter?

Awesome mod! Though I'm a bit confused about the description and the file requirement "It lowers quality of FaceGens by 2x-4x, so vanilla version won't work without this" in reference to the PhyOp file and mod. Is this also in reference to the "vanilla" sized files contributed by jltoga? The vanilla sized file version listed off the PhyOp mod as a requirement, and it looks like that's the case, but the way jltoga worded things in the comments, it sort of seems like the vanilla sized files do not require the PhyOp mod. I haven't used the mod before, but I'd be willing to give it a shot, though if the vanilla sized files do not require PhyOp as a requirement, the clarification would be very much appreciated.

Oh thanks for this! I'll download it when I get the chance. I wish more people would include Face-Gen with their mods, particularly Keke-Bu's Companion and NPC's Face Replacer All In One Pack: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17885 I don't understand why no one includes the FaceGen.

      Yeah surely I agree.
I tried to make them for keke-bu once, but I could not find an easy way to select only all the edited NPC's so I think it has to do be done manually.

I decided to come back around to this issue again. I've hit several obstacles so far in trying to export facegen for the Keke Bu replacer. I'm steadily getting around them however. At first, I couldn't find the NPCs. However, I realized how to find them under Actor>HumanRace, then by sorting the NPCs by Modified date. Assuming you just downloaded the mod, the modified date should be today. Then I couldn't get the CK to actually export the Facegen. But I read jltoga's post about the "is Chargen face preset" which all of the NPCs in that mod have been flagged as such. So, I went and removed that flag from all the NPCs in xEdit. Back to generating facegen and it has worked! However, I would like to pack this into a BSA, but I have yet to figure that out. One step at a time though.

Thank you for this; I'm using it since release. I'm trying to figure out how to do this for Better Settlers. Do you think you could explain how to do it in simple terms or perhaps make an optional file? :) Would be extremely appreciated.

Hey. As far as I remember, you load Better Settlers in Creation Kit, highlight all the new NPC entries, press Ctrl+F4 and then it exports it all. Please check if you can upload the mod if it works for you :-)
