1.4 Fixed a missing "hidden" flag in one of the perks.
1.3 Fixed a bug that prevented you from being able to consume food without picking it up.
1.2 Added new labels for drinking and eating instead of everything being labeled as "use". Fixed the issue when you couldn't consume RadAway without picking it up. Added exceptions FormList to the mod. The mod will atempt to work with anything in that list regardless of keywords.

Doesn't work apparently with Interaction animations mod, it'll skip the pickup animation & as well doesn't take the IAF animations well to "eat/drink" when used from ground, either way it only works on items that are not affect by this mod. (building materials) there the "pickup" animation will work. (by IA)
I think I've found a glaring issue. I'm not sure if this is because I use a controller or not - I haven't checked, but if I grab a consumable out of a container/body/merchant, I automatically consume it no matter what, effectively barring me from actually looting certain items since I'll always use them right away.
Hey there! I'm super busy these days and don't really have time to check things out, but as far as i can tell, that shouldn't happen. The mod uses the in-build in to the game system to allow extra options on items, and in no way it should override the default pickup action. It's exactly the same mechanism that allow for you to press R on holotapes to instantly listen to them, or R on corpses to eat them with canibal perk.
I haven't used this yet, so i don't know if it already does this. But... it would be great if it also allowed us to automatically read notes in the world or off of bodies, and allowed us to automatically listen to holotapes in the world or off of bodies.
Okay, so I just had a little more time to play, and I was in General Atomics Galleria.
In "Handy Eats" diner I was able to drink the Nuka-Cola on the counter behind Cook Handy.
But when attempting to consume the Nuka-Cola on the table, I was met with the 'infinite loop' of health gain and free cap, but beverage is not consumed.
Thank you for telling me that. Someone else reported simular issue in Far Harber a long time ago, but someone else have refuted it. Could it possible be a mod conflict on your side? There shouldn't (in theory) be anything in base game that would produce such effect, but not long ago i realized that the method i used for despwaning items wasn't good, so there is a chance it is connected to that. At the moment i am dealing with some major personal issues, but once that is over i will update the mod, changing despwaning method, and hopefully it will solve this issue. If not, i will look in to that specific Nuka you have mentioned. I can't say how long it will be untill then though, maybe a few days, maybe a few weeks, i have no clue.

I looked in Xedit at some of the things I have seen mentioned here and on the bug reports; but nothing I use is modifying keywords in anyway, and it looks to me like it should be working fine (and in fact does 90% of the time).

For example, I see a bottle of Nuka-Cola on the counter, press "R", I get a bottlecap and heath gain, but the Nuka-Cola stays on the counter, and I can "drink" it again and again for a free cap and free healing. It seems to only do this with Nuka-Cola, but honestly I have not tested too thoroughly yet.
I was just curious if anyone else has run into this issue yet.
-edit: working with water and booze, just not nuka cola. Odd.
edit 2: and today Nuka Cola is working again. Strange. I will pay more attention to the locations that this happens in the future (if it does) to try to narrow down what's going on ....
