I'm not sure if it's a load order problem or something else, but these aren't fully working as intended. When the mod is installed, it immediately starts up the Cappy quest even though I haven't travelled to NW or spoken with Sierra yet. So I know it's doing "something" related to that quest. But while wearing the ring, it is NOT marking the cappy signs the same way the glasses do. I've tried both in and out of power armor, still nothing. I've tried both rings, which I assume are the same but just in case, and still no difference.
The dialogue options for vault suit and Shroud appear to work "mostly" as intended, although there were a few times when NPC failed to acknowledge my vault suit while wearing the ring (wasn't actually wearing the suit). But any time I personally had optional dialogue related to a vault suit or Shroud costume, those options were active in the dialogue choices. So it's working half-half in that aspect.
Can confirm, that Cappy quest starts immediately on starting a new game. Had no Cappy issue on an old save before however. Meaning if loaded mid-playthrough.
Had to restart because of a mod screwing my save. Does having Cappy also screws me now?
Question. How do I remove the Cappy features? Also, would some smartypants merge this with Modifiable Wedding rings?
PS: Just did it myself. Cheers. I have to say that I have found the magic rings Now the diamond gives you jetpack powers!!! Going to add stealth for other stones, etc. Lore friendly.
I'm 99% certain I know the answer to this question, but just wanted to confirm that the functionality of this ring (version 1) is identical to the functionality of version 1.2 of the Ring made by that "other guy" <grin> -- the Ring of Dialogues?
I've only done some of the Silver Shroud quests because I don't like being stuck with quest armor that is less customizable than other armor and is hard to get rid of. So this ring is way, way cool. Thanks both to you and that "other guy" for creating it!
There is also a mod for better Sgroud armor, go look it up.
He rocks, by the way.
My quest(ion) of note is about the Cappy function. This isn't going to auto-start the cappy quests until we get into Nuka-World, I hope? I mean, I know the park is open Pre-War and all...
However, from a purely "one-person-to-another" point of view, I'd highly recommend giving an acknowledgement to the maker of the other mod - so they get credit for the original idea, and you get credit for improving on it.... it's just a bit more polite.
But I like your alteration idea.
would one still be able to add a legendary effect, if using a legendary modification mod? If so, I'll totally use this rather than the other guy's mod.
Well first off I AM THE OTHER GUY... So giving myself more credit would be, well ummm Trump-ish, Wouldn't it?
As for the other I would need to make patches. I can and certainly would. Just list the mods you would want patches for and I'll add them. I do have most of the mods for legendary mods in my mod manager. It wouldn't be difficult.

LOL! That's the spirit!
Especially the silver shroud quest?
