Any chance you can go into more detail on the changes? I was looking into other companion weapons mods and I want to compare this one to them without having to download, get into the game and check all their weapons. Simple info like if the damage was changed, legendary or other effects added, weapon changes, etc. Also I want to know if this works with the companion infinite ammo mod and companion better accuracy mod. Thank you.
All changes are under the spoiler in the DESC, all weapon damage stats are equal to the normal versions of the weapons, E.G: Valentine now has .44 magnum, it’s damage is equal to a standard .44 magnum. It’s worth noting that all companion weapons have modifications on them, so they are not just standard weapons.
Infinate companion ammo edits different data, it's perefectly compatible (i use it myself)
EDIT
Damage values have been modified in the newest version, see the descrition for details
Does the Synth version of Curie actually have a "weapon"? If not, can you give her an unarmed bonus (or a default melee weapon) ?
It seems she picks up anything dropped and just sprays - I found myself riding a missile towards a supermutant once and have no desire to replay that horror again.
Supposedly she has a Laser Rifle, she just never uses it. I've heard it suggested that this is because her strength is so high that she prefers melee to ranged weapons, but that doesn't really explain why she never uses it, even though she'll pick up and use any other ranged weapon she finds, no matter how poor. It may not get equipped properly, or be added properly to her inventory, somehow, post-quest.
At the very least, for the time being, keeping her stocked with ammo will keep her using the weapons she has, and prevent her from grabbing every last random weapon she comes across. That is, if you can afford to regularly buy her ammo.
I can confirmed curie's weapon or her AI as a synth is bugged even in vanilla, she'll refuse to use her weapon unless you removed all other weapons in her inventory, and if you did that she'll picked up any weapon she sees and use that until she ran out of ammo and she'll switch to melee, if she don't have a melee weapon in her inventory she'll use unarmed instead.
I thought it was the mod too, so I uninstalled it and she's still the same.
Edit: tested again, it IS this mod that's causing problems, even piper unequip her gun and went melee. As for curie, in vanilla she will shoot her gun if she have nothing else but this mod made her refuse to even fire once. In other words it made it worst. Good thing I have a save prior to this mod, uninstalling now.

I was thinking similarly, did you notice if you can unlock their weapons (i.e. be seen in inventory) so we could just mod them, then return them?
Thanks
can you make it so followers dont need ammo for guns i give them?
Like the idea of the mod
Props to this guy, he figured it out
