Changelogs
Version 1.1
Finally, this cubemap should function normally.
Update: Been almost 1 year since the inital upload and I finally figured out how to prevent the cubemap from not applying on the weapon or armor in the worldview. Now 10 times out of 10 the cubemap would show up properly (I didn't test the 11 times), Unlike 6/10 before. It's safe to say that this is complete (Ah finally). Following this guide and tried few times, turns out that it's a must to use Compressonator to compress the cubemap to ARGB8888. Other software like Photoshop with Inter Texture works plugin and ModifiedCubeMapGen failed to make the same thing right. (Another tips, compress the cubemap to another format first, like BC7, then compress it back to ARGB8888 using Compressonato, otherwise the Compressonator would fail to work) Besides the update, I also made a loading screen background replacer which I think fits the cubemap perfectly (It's the same image after all).
Description When learning how to tweak the glass item, I tried to make my own cubemap and here is a tiny little outcome to share with you.
This mod is a replacement of mipblur_DefaultOutside1.dds, which is applied on almost every weapon and armor, see the image section to know if it fits your taste.
Installation & Uninstallation Use your mod manager to install and uninstall, or manually unpack and copy the texture folder to your Fallout 4\Data folder; delete \Fallout 4\Data\Textures\Shared\Cubemaps\mipblur_DefaultOutside1.dds if you're going to uninstall manually.
