really nice rebalancing. i feel like a lot of items should be rebalanced like this i would also reduce the price of shipments too, it's absolutely stupid to pay >2000 caps for a shipment....i mean, the house in diamond city is 2000!
If you're paying more than 1200 for any shipment, try buffing your CHR and taking some grape mentats first. Most shipments only cost ~500 caps for me. Scarcity of resources is supposed to be a challenge in this game for you to overcome with scavenging or looting raider/gunner camps. If you want it to be super easy and cheap to get resources, why not just hit the ~ key and give yourself infinite supplies...
Or, you can absolutely break the game by setting up a ton of water purifiers at sanctuary or someplace that has large body of water and sell the water you get from the moderate investment. I unfortunately downloaded a mod that makes generators and stuff produce 1000 of their respective resource. So, I get tens of thousands of waters that I sell. I don't even care about caps anymore because the mod/purifier trick keeps replenishing my water supply quickly and that's free money at this point....
If you do decide to mess with shipment prices, you'll have to uncheck record flag 11 (currently unknown in FO4edit). It seems to set the in-game value of an item to scale based on the amount of components it yields rather than the number in the Data - Value field.
While it doesn't invalidate the option provided by this mod, I think the idea is they have been used up by the robots themselves in the last 200 years. The 2 oil you get, I assume is the dregs you can salvage from the "Empty" canister. "Empty" is the wasteful pre-war definition, not the scavengers definition.
