I find issue with this, as sure your bones aren't breaking (as the MAX adamantium skeleton perk suggests) but your internal organs will rupture and cause extreme trauma. Which I have to continue onto power armor, as long falls (such as off the top of Trinity Tower) shouldn't be ignorable and should force you to use something like your jet-pack to gradually decelerate until a safe speed is achieved.
Another way of doing it : adding the perk crNoFallDamage to a companion, NPC, etc.
crNoFallDamage [PERK:0002A6FC] rank: 1
You can also change fJumpFallHeightExponentNPC to zero, that also reduces to no damage for all NPCs (tested: all my settlers take no fall damage, with a small ouch animation, but I die). I do not know if that includes Companions, but there are only two options in the formula: Player versus NPC fall damage. This is not a bad tweak, as NPCs rarely fall from a legitimate attack or push in Fallout 4; unless you use some form of push-over-the-ledge attack.
I successfully added the perk (rank 3) to a Settler (console command confirmed he had rank 3 Adamantium...). He died from fall damage.
In FO4edit, my mod is marked a successfully over-riding the Better Settler/Mortal Settler (which gives them Adamantium rank 1) and it sets the rank 3 ID as such.
In load order, I put your mod before mine.
Any clues why a (mortal) Settler dies anyway ?
ps: for those wondering. My Settlers are mortal, so I want them to die from actual battle, not from falling off a cliff or a bridge
EDIT - nevermind SOLUTION found: by also giving my NPC guards Adamantium Skeleton rank 1 and 2, it works. Giving them only rank 3 fails.
But i have a small request if possible. I'm playing on survival and your legs get hurt when overencumbered, even with adamantium skeleton, like if you falling. Could you add a fix for survival, that your legs cant get hurt while overencumbered? Would be awesome! Cause,Adamantium bones, are Adamantium bones, right?
I don't think this is working in survival, i've got everything installed properly and rank 3 of Ad skeleton but i'm still taking damage from falls and even insta-die jumping from the museum of freedom
I've been using this mod to overhaul quite a few perks. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5957/? It's pretty modular and customizable. It has modules for 16 different perks that you can chose to use, leave vanilla, or chose a magnitude of, there are 4 different settings to chose from for Strong back for instance.
Could you update this so that the first and second ranks of the perk give reduced fall damage too ? I have tried to use Fallout4Edit to copy what you have already done to the third rank and apply it to the other adamantium perks, but i'm so new to modding that I can't even figure out how to add the new effect to the existing perks =(
Hey I just wanted to say thanks for this. I have had the worst time trying to get this to work (my own mod for personal use has this effect for Toughness 5). Apparently the Float value can't be zero or it doesn't work. Good thinking making it a very very small number instead to make it work.
