The "skk junk scrapper" has been retired and a new one has been made: "This has been replaced with SKK Global Stash?"
Is this patch compatible with the new one?

This mod is a patch for the old one (SKK Junk Scrapper) and it is required as a master. You can't use this with the new one (SKK Global Stash).

Interesting! For some time now, I've been using my own patch with a much longer list of items that would best not be scrapped, simply because their value-per-weight ratio is much better than that of their components after scrapping. It also includes so-called crafting items, including but not limited to the baseball.
However, I failed to include cigars and cigarettes. I got the boxes, packs and cartons covered, but not the separate smokes. At zero weight, these are practically just CAPS, so I'm gonna make another edit.

I never considered uploading my patch, though. Smart move!

The optional tools thing... I get that, but I'm never so hard up for caps that I'd consider permanently preserving those objects. While running around V81 - which doesn't happen all that often -, I'll just temporarily turn off auto-scrapping.
I don't quite see the point of preserving fishing rods, but it's possible that I'm missing something.

    Thank you for sharing this!

I usually modify some items on differents playthrough, depending on what I need, but I just share the "basic".

Concerning Fishing Rods, there were some Fishing mods that required fishing rods when I did this patch (1 or 2 years ago, for XB1), so I thought it was a good idea to preserve these items from scrapping.
