   Alas this doesn't seem to be working, I'm not hearing any critical sound effect at all!

      Put it in your folder : fallout4\data\sound\fx\ui\vats and if you dont have ui\vats make one

      If you make a zip file with the folder structure included it would put it in the right place automatically.. For example if it's a texture then
      Data/textures/character/
      
      for example
