Project might be on hold indefinitely because the fallout 4 engine acts very different from fallout3/nv, the debris expire even tho i set the meshes not to, there is no debri timer compared to previous games, explosive dont react to other explosive like mines. In previous games this wasnt a problem.
I had a whole lot of vanilla walls and meshes that could be blown out and pieces of the rock or wood will fall out just like battlefield bad company 2, but the engine is just stressing me because the debri meshes expire and its kinda annoying.
I dont understand why they put effort to stupid useless not important things but made world totally non destructible. For this one reason I will rate Fallout 4 with 2/10 , because to see a glass bottle untouched after shot from pistol is too much for me.
Not like it was better in previous games, in the tutorial of Fallout NV the bottles just fell flat from the counter, even though a glassbreak noise played whenever you shot them
"Bugs : Grenades and Mines, once dropped they don't get damaged by other explosions, they can only be destroyed by shooting at them. All ammo works wonders if added destruction data , so I don't know why its like this with grenade and mines, if you can help me fix it, YAY "
This is also a bug in the vanilla game. If you throw down a bunch of mines they will all blow up together but recently I tried molotiving mines that either I placed or were in the environment and they didn't blow up.
Yeah I'm kinda aware to the bug. Sadly the project might be on hold indefinitely because the fallout 4 engine acts very different from fallout3/nv, the debris expire even tho i set the meshes not to, there is no debri timer compared to previous games, explosive dont react to other explosive like mines. This bug probably has something to do with how weirdly "explosive" damage is set up in Fallout 4. For some bizzaro reason, Bethesda often to not make it a "real" damage type, but rather it uses basic ballistic damage, then checks if the target has any "explosive resistance" perks that reduce damage taken.
I'm very much looking forward to this mod! I don't care as much for the ammo itself, but rather the destructible environment. Because when I throw a grenade, or when I launch a mini nuke, I want to see the damage! Also, I don't understand why explosives have no knockback. Every strong weapon, especialy explosives should have knockback! Shotguns and power fists smaller, sniper rifle bigger and rocket launchers/Fat Man biggest knockbacks. Kinda like with the Pain Train perk, but stronger.
Explosives has an awesome knockback in previous fallout games specially with EXPL knockdown mod, It has been dumbed down in Fallout 4, and when characters gets knockback specially the player the camera messes up, thats why you don't see any special effects from enemies weapon to affect the character.
Love the mod. I am trying to make enemies on fire scream and dance like I saw in GTA. Any ideas ? I'm pretty sure people and animals on fire tend to panic !!
i made a personal mod with similar function by editing the destruction data to play a new effect i made in ck, its a blend of shotgunfx and frag mine fx.
Thank you so much for this, used to use the FO3 version and have been missing it ever since. I'd really appreciate it if you made the destructible objects/exploding ammo cans an optional file/install option, but I look forward to the updates!
