I have 4700 hours into F4, and so I say this in all serious inquiry - have you ever seen Preston NOT be in the Museum when you arrive at Concord, instead fighting raiders further south behind that building? I just did using the Nora save. Nothing weird happened from the vault straight to Concord. I found the dead Raider as per usual, and there was one other dead Raider nearer the museum, but Preston was south. I killed the Raider attacking him, and he wandered back to the museum, but the normal "Hey! Up here! Help!" dialogue kicked off as he walked past me, and the Concord quest completed.
hm.. i would totally use one of these saves if it had a few specific things done that i ended up repeating too many times due to few instances of 'modded to death' on my savegame xD
well, char is a girl called Natasha, because Codsworth pronounces the name
i always finish the silver shroud questline, saving kent via the 'kill me to hurt kent' speech check and not going after that random girl that has a contract on.. Then i always defeat and spare the Mechanist as 'Silver Shroud', and i always take the castle with minutemen. main quest i always get up to the point of searching for Virgil. and i always take nick along, eventually doing his affinity quest as well. and, i always give mama murphy one chem before taking any companion, just so i can build that nice chair xD
kinda specific xD i use the fudge muppet mechanist build, but then i pump charisma to max right after the vault because i've gone over 100 levels every time xD and i don't collect stat boosting bobbleheads until i'm maxed on a certain 'special' stat
@Veratai ~ As these saves (both male and female) are right at the vault door, you can still change the name of your character before leaving the vault by choosing the option to adjust your SPECIAL stats, this way Codsworth can say Natasha instead of 'Mum!. The rest of your storyline choices would also be unaffected as well, being as this only skips pre-war sanctuary and the vault.
If you wanted certain starting weapons, armor or items, I'd be happy to oblige, but as far as what you've mentioned above, those are all still things you can do with these saves.
