I have no idea if the standalone version is, sorry. it uses default meshes, so possibly.

Hey Nukaman, great mod! In fact, on my first playthrough of the game, a survival mode one with Bethesda's updated version, I used the suit and helmet almost exclusively along with the patriotic shield.

However, I have a few suggestions:

    1. Make The Suit and Helmet come with ballistic weave attached to them. I ask this because, on survival difficulty at least, this would have saved me a lot of headaches at least in the early game, though, now, admittedly, even after doing the railroad quest and decking out the suit and helmet with ballistic weave, I can still still get killed by taking less than ten hits from higher tier enemies which I always encounter since I'm in the '60's now.

    2. Make a stand alone version of the armor with the same specs as heavy combat armor, either modded to the max with the polymer mod or not. Either way... shadowed combat armor is really weak sauce in the end game, and I think I may have had better luck when I took a little break from being Steve Rodgers, Captain America, and became Steve Rodgers, the Silver Shroud, recently for that whole questline.

    3. Either make the suit and helmet increase your special stats to more Captain America esque levels or create Super Soldier serum that the player must craft before taking it that, once consumed, will provide a constant buff so that they don't need to take anymore that fulfills the same function of increasing a player's stats to captain america levels. I ask of this because, really, despite the fact that I'm presently fine in the end game (so long as I get the drop and first strikes), the enemies are starting to get ridiculous in how much damage they can take, and I've maxed out all the relevant stats, including the luck based ones... and, again, I can still get taken down ridiculously easy by certain enemies I keep encountering more frequently and feel more like a cosplayer than either 616 Captain America, Earth's Mightiest Heroes Captain America, Ultimate Universe Captain America, or MCU Captain America. Just please, in an update, let me feel more like a legit Super Soldier who can lift 1100 pounds or a ton or several depending on the version! I've had to go back so many hours at times just from accidents, let alone enemies icing me that could have been prevented if my character was actually a super soldier! Also, a slight (read: slight) healing factor effect too, please.

Thanks I really like the super soldier serum idea, I'm surprised nobody else has made it yet. I am not that great at modding, I've barely figured out how to make standalone anything, but i will look into it, and the combat armor. I am kind of on a break from modding and playing, but I fully intend to return when Nuka-world is released (for obvious reasons).

Hi, I was asked by someone to port this over to Xbox One. I saw one of your comments saying you were okay with it. I just wanted to let you know I uploaded it today with credit to you of course! great file by the way!

Thank you, and apologies if anyone reports you for theft lol. I am going to update the descriptions of my mods to include the fact that I am OK with it, I know it was a big issue before. Feel free to port any others you would like to as well, they are mostly marvel characters. Feel free to modify it in any way that isn't malicious, if you would like to make any legit improvements. I don't use beth.net because I don't want to risk screwing up my mods, I might make the switch when nuka-world is released.

The suit itself is standalone, no ETA on the armor, Im afraid. its on the list though.

Very well done, loved using this in my Avengers playthrough Do you plan on making different versions, like the Captain America: Winter Soldier version which is dark blue and white?

I have thought about making that one in particular, possibly more. I am not that great at modding, textures are my only real skill, but in theory I'd like to make one suit that you could recolor into multiple cap outfits, and one set of combat armor that you could also recolor to match (I haven't even achieved standalone combat armor yet lol). I would also like to edit the meshes, hopefully I can make some small tweaks at least. Ive been on a hiatus for a bit, but at the very least, you can rest assured that when Nuka-world comes out, I will be back with it

I've been asking around, so I'll ask here: Can you port this mod over to xbox one? I've been waiting to have Cap roaming the wasteland and fighting the good fight, but I have the console.
Since I've never done a mod and have no idea how hard it may be, please forgive if this request is too much of a PIA.

I am a bit noobish myself, honestly, i'd love to port my stuff to xbox and ps, but i don't use bethesda.net. Anyone out there who would like to port my mods has my full support. Im not even concerned about credit tbh. However, since my mods contain representations of characters from marvel, etc, there may be issues. I may switch to bethesda.net within the next dlc or two lol, sorry.

oh --- my ---- god. lol. Someone in the posting section of "Hunt for Patriotic Shield' guided me here and I was LOOKING for this armor after seeing the Civil War Trailer redux that was done.

I am so looking forward to this being a standalone mod. I will have to ask around with a few creative friends to see if anyone can help you with the process of making it standalone.
