Quick note!: I am NOT the original author of this mod. I simply love this mod and sought permission to have it placed back on the Nexus after the original author, Aloot, deleted his account.
Update as of June 22, 2022: With help of BenRierimanu, creator of Previsibines Repair Pack (PRP), v2.3 of Aloot's Home Plate has been released fixing the missing NavMeshes issue from Aloot's original v2.2 release! According to BenRierimanu if you already have v2.2 in your game you WILL NEED TO START A NEW GAME to enjoy v2.3. Do NOT upgrade from v2.2 if you are in the middle of a playthrough! If you have never installed Aloot's Home Plate, you can install v2.3 midgame!
part way into my survival playthrough the mod broke and now i can't load into home plate without the game freezing up and me having to force quit.
Im going to have to wait for a fix before i start using this again.
...Assuming OP is going to fix the mod and not have someone else do it.
EDIT: turning on fast travel via survival options bypasses whatever is causing the crash but still mod author should still look into figuring out what's wrong with the doors.
EDIT 2: disregard the previous edit: im leaving it there for preservations sake, if the crash starts happening to you just uninstall the mod, delete the file, and redownload from the nexus. the mod somehow gets corrupted through using it maybe because its old or something. reinstalling fixes the bug.
Edit 3: first edit is correct, the doorway randomly starts causing crashes for some reason so you have to fast travel to get in. my guess is its glitching out and trying to send the player to the original home plate for some reason.
Second this, I'm also in survival mode and doorway is causing the game to crash. I suspect it is related to a combination of PRP + Ultra Interior Lighting (I'm using the patch)
I tested a little bit more and that's happening somewhat randomly. I'm using the other door that makes me get stuck (I'm stuck Onii-chaaan) in the workbenches then I use them to get unstuck
Same here unfortunately. I also using the Ultra Interior lighting mod and would hate to have to uninstall this excellent home plate update to keep the global enhancment the lighting mod adds to the game.
Oddly, I relaunched the game after my last crashed entry to the home plate, and the autosave (blank thumbnail an all) dropped me safely inside. Wish I knew enough about modding to help :(
I'm not playing on survival mode, but the workaround I always use is to fast travel to Diamond City Market, face the door to Home Plate (either door will work), then hit F5 right before clicking on the door. If I fast travel or don't quicksave like that, game freezes.
I just wanted to pipe in here and I was having the same issue. I tried the "go to market, quicksave, and enter" method mentioned, but it was only about a 50/50 and I'd still get a hang on the loading screen. So just to check I uninstalled and reinstalled the mod, AND MADE SURE to set it to the very bottom of my load order (last to load) and I no longer have the fast travel issue. If it starts happening again I will come back and edit this post to let y'all know. Hope this helps. Cheers!
It's a nice idea, but it doesn't fix the underlying problem. I also pushed it last in my tiny mod list, and that doesn't help either.
The house seems to work fine when new, but the loading freeze becomes more and more common as time goes by. I still had the original mod installed, but by level 50 I just couldn't get into it successfully at all. Replaced it with this one and got in immediately, which let me retrieve my stockpile of Legendaries etc, then came back about an hour later and it's back to hanging every time. Meanwhile, a game from 5 levels ago saved while inside loads without any problems (or at least, did this time - the house was definitely unreliable long before I got that far). Going back to my quicksave taken right outside the door and trying that again then worked, but that's definitely *not* a reliable workaround.
I haven't redecorated at all, because that's the whole point of using a modded home in the first place. What I *have* added to the house over time, outside of containers, is bobbleheads and magazines. Neither of those should even be loading regardless of which door you use, but maybe the house isn't vis'd properly. Given the increasing failure rate over time though, it's either one of those; or there's something that's slowly sinking through the surface it's on thanks to Havok bugs or something like that. Guess I'll start by shoving all the items into a chest and seeing what happens in an hour or two when I get back to town...
* Edit #1: it's not the magazines in the wire racks. * Edit 2: hasn't frozen on me in 5 visits since I removed the bobbleheads. Looks like we might have a winner. :)
@O2Uwu @chengin, it's definitely not a conflict with UIL, because I'm not running that.
I had the same issue for weeks, I suspected is something connected to the many companions I have. So I sent everyone home before I entered. Or sometimes I just restarted my computer. (classic hack)
After I read all your comments, I just put the mod in the last in the mod order list, and used the "commonwealth cartography mod" for creating a fast travel point in diamond city market, used it, and then I entered. I wokrked for the first time but I will keep testing it. Hope it helps anyone who want to avoid uninstall anything.
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but the mod doesn't work for me. I installed it and put everything in the DATA folder since I dont use vortex, but It doesn't work. am I doing something wrong here?

im not a programmer so cannot confirm.

Gonna try that. Thank you
