    UPDATED TO 1.2

    Location for NV TV 1.ini preset has been changed from
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Fallout 4\
    to
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\

    You need to place TV NV 1.ini in that location if you don't have Fallout 4 installed in the default Steam location.

    Hey everyone I need a little help. When I use the Reshade it also still uses the default Functional NVG effect and blows the image out on both NVG and FLIR settings. How do I disable the default effect and just trigger the Reshade effects? Thanks in advance

      If you use FO4Edit and open the XM2010 esp file you can manually delete the effects from the file. It should be easy to tell what they are, since they will be labeled like "thermal" or "NV".

      Thanks for posting this! I did some digging and figured I would post a how-to separately for anyone else scratching their heads about this. I was also not a fan of the doubled up NV effects and deleting the Functional NVG effect files did the trick.

    For anyone wanting to use the flip-up and flip-down switcher from Utherien's Functional PMC NV mod without having the NV effect stack overtop of THIS mod, you can use FO4Edit to modify the ESP for Utherien's Functional PMC NV.

    Instructions:

    • Select the PMC_NVG.esp from the list of available ESP files in FO4Edit and wait for this to load
    • Navigate through the file tree as follows: PMC_NVG.esp -> Image Space Adapter -> PMCNVG_N_IMAD
    • Right Click on PMCNVG_N_IMAD and delete it from the ESP

    NOTE: This will remove the visual effects applied for the default darkest level NV option. If you want to disable the thermal option or disable one of the other 4 power levels of NV, just remove the associated IMAD file (it will be listed along with the one I said to delete above).

    When setting up keybinds, simply apply the same keybinding for NV or Thermal toggle for both mods and you're good to go.

    For this setup, I am using the standalone Reshade option, since I did not want to use the XM2010.

    Cheers and thanks to Alepap and Utherien for the awesome mods! HUGE thanks to ClemFuFU for the idea in their comment below.

    Is there a way to toggle the reshade as "off" on startup? It automatically turns on while in the main menu. I'd like to find a way for it to be off on game startup until I press "C".

      Once you have everything set up the way you want, save the preset or save it as a new one with NV and Thermals off. Make sure auto-save is off (top right of the reshade menu on the "Home Tab"). Then go to the "Settings Tab" and add the preset you made/saved to the "Start-up preset" section.

    Really cool mod and adds very much to the immersiveness of the game, however I have to ask if it is possible to have a overlay for binos instead of a monocular for the NVGs?

    Keep it a buck, even cheap tubes are not this grainy. You can get an extremely entry level single tube nod set and have it be clear as day, so this is far from 'realistic'

      Then just turn down the grain in reshade. It's just a slider.

    • I use Mod Organizer
    • Download the rifle mod, an ESP file from here, and the reshader
    • Do not install anything yet
    • Open the reshader file and move reshader-shader, ReShade.ini, NV TV.ini, dxgi.dll in your Fallout4 game directory
    • I use a custom location for my install so I had to open the ReShade.ini and change the file pathing to match my stuff
    • Install the rifle mod and the ESP from here, in that order
    • I use an ENB so I had to go to my Fallout4 directory again - and change my enblocal.ini to match this:
    • [PROXY]
      EnableProxyLibrary=false
      InitProxyFunctions=true
      ProxyLibrary=dxgi.dll

    • Then I went to reshade.me - clicked the download button and got the Reshade Setup.exe file
    • Double clicked the Reshade Setup.exe file
    • A new menu popped up with a huge list of games - I clicked Fallout 4
    • I pressed on next and did not change anything - then I clicked done
    • After that my game would start normally
    • I then pressed the Home key to pull up the new ReShader menu from these mods
    • I made my load order match the one in the Mod Description - I also bound my keys following the instructions in the Mod Description
    • After all of that my game worked fine - hope this helps
