I just want to praise this mod author and this mod. He is one of the only few weapon mods that have working 1st and 3rd person animations for Power Armor when this weapon is equipped. Great work! Most other mod authors are simply too lazy to do power armor animations
Not sure I'd call them lazy - by any stretch of the imagination. I wouldn't call any modder lazy - they are taking the time most don't to add something to the game.
TBH, I simply don't see most weapons even being viable in Power Armor - simply because they aren't designed to be used by Super Mutants or people in Power Armor. This one has a grip that a Super Mutant or a guy in Power Armor could actually get to the trigger in Power Armor with - most simply don't.
I mostly agree and certainly don't call modders lazy, never did.
Would someone in RL be able to shoot this weapon while being in a power armour/exoskeleton ? Probably not, no. However the vanilla game allows players to use almost all weapons in power armour, so modded weapons should provide animations for such cases, at least basic vanilla ones if they exist.
Suspension of disbelief typically being a thing in popular games like FO4, most people just expect it to work (TM). The lack of animations can introduce bugs, leading to crashes in the worst cases, and whether we like it or not, that impedes on the perceived quality of the mod.
All this being said, endorsed the mod. Definitely one of the better weapon mods on the Nexus.
damn I rly love this weapon. Animations are great (works in power armor too!!!!) sounds are excelent even supressed as I usually don't use supressed weapons as I think the sounds are too weak but not this one. It feels "impact" even supressed. It's amazing!!!
About power armors. It's sad but understanb how the majority of weapons don't work properly... so I double apreciate when the weapon is functional in both with and without PA.
For y'all who complains about a mod weapon being "overpowered" and still playing with vanilla npc leveling mechanics, which isn't even close to challenging when you fight Gunners with a max level at 94. Stop what you're doing, get Unleveled World F4SE and Encounter Zone Recalculation and set the difficulty to Hard Very Hard (which cuts your damage by 50%) Then a mod like this more than needed and you do want as much damage as possible when you fight legendary lvl 140 whatever.
Alternative stick to those painfully severly and underpowered and weak vanilla weapons and refer from using mods altogether = problem solved.
Kudos to the mod autor for making AWESOME, neat looking mods that doesn't linger on Nexus, with +50 ignored and abandoned bug reports.
Overpowered is relative to every other weapon in the game. So you are basically suggesting people do triple-bypass on their game just for one damage value on one weapon to make sense? Spock would call that illogical.
It would simply be better for them to change it themselves - to whatever value they like. Then the only person they have to complain to is staring them in the mirror.

Also, the laser is not coming out of the attachment, and no on off option
