This mod does not work and the installation instructions are stupid and useless. The things i'm supposed to change in the .ini files are not even in the .ini files.
You can add those to your ini file instead of looking for them. Before I ever do any ini file changes, I always try the "find" feature and type in whatever I'm looking for. If nothing comes up, usually it's a safe bet to just add the lines you want. Backup your ini files beforehand.
You have to change all DefineSpitit that will look like a cross to a dot. For that you will have to delete all frames, left one frame and PlaceObject2, give this object Depth 1, has name = false, caracterid = 336, matrix = false, flag move = true.
Only at DefineSpitit 371 you have to let the 4 entries for frame 1. Do not delete it but change it to 336, matrix false and flag move true.
Is there any way to change dot to crosshairs, I hate the dot and would rather have the ads to be a smaller tighter version of the crosshairs like traditional games.
Yikes very dangerous mod. I would recommend anyone not to download this, it will crash your game sadly. And of course I would also recommend that this mod be taken down if not updated, as I'm sure not everyone reads the comments or really should need to and will most likely run into more issues due to this mod.
edit 8th of may 2016: for all dot-crosshair-fans who got stranded like me, take a look here:
"Yatz UI Presets for DEF_HUD (YUP)" by YATZ
(it's here on nexus, but i don't know if i would be allowed to post it as a direct link) he kindly created 2 different presets with a dot-crosshair (one existing already)! use and endorse!
also zalteredbeastz has a mod called "No HUD and adaptive crosshair".
he did me huge favor and made a dot only and vanilla hud version. it works great. give him a big thanks as i think he went well out of his way to make it. and i do appreciate all hes done.
