    Why not just give it a recharge mechanic, rather than a reload?
    Reliance upon ammunition seems unnecessary, in addition.

    i like the idea behind this weapon mod, however i think it does't go far enough.

    it has no upgrade options other than a barell and different skins which could do with some better polished textures.

    here's what i would suggest.

    - a damage buff, or modification option to do so.

    - fusion core reciever basically makes it a sniper fat man with a laser explosion, or an assaultron beam equivalent. 

    - charging feature like the gauss rifle, charge up to do more damage.

    i think it could be a fun weapon with a little more tlc.

    Absolutely love the weapon, is it possible for you to add more modifications to it? I just really love modding my weapons and armor.

    This weapon would be perfect if it had options for different beam colors, like blue and green, damage modifiers, and faster reload animations.

    How do I change the beam color and damage output in the Creation Kit? For personal use I mean.

    For continous beam fire (like a minigun) have you tought of using Shepard tone (for reference the SM suicider has one along a beep https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QNlFvG0hkI) it's composed of three superposed part a rizing lower tone fading in a rizing middle tone that keep constant and a rizing higher tone fading out. you loop that and you got a laser that get stronger the longer you fire you can use the assaultron self-destruct sound

    Question to the mod author and hopefully they will see this post. Is the weapon set to respawn at the location you put it at? The only reason I am asking is that, I have 2 saves that are kind of corrupted because when I go back to the robotics disposal area on 2 of my saves, the door is closed again to the trailer where the weapon is and when I open the door, there is a very strange texture that appears. I can walk inside the trailer and lo and behold, the Hyper Laser Cannon is at the exact same spot where its supposed to be. Also, when i walk to Thicket Excavations the ground and textures where the gulch is at is really messed up. It looks horrible. Now keep all this in mind that I have already acquired the weapon and put it in my house by Sanctuary. Now, when I go back to the 3rd save from the latest, everything is completely normal at the Robot disposal area and at Thicket Excavations. I do not know why this happens but I do know that the weapon is respawning at some point and its causing these issues. If anyone can help me on this or offer some advice. I tried to find something in xEdit that says its respawnable but did not see anything. Thanks in advance

    P.S. I installed the Canary save file monitor and the only mod that it would detect any data loss is the unofficial patch by Arthmoor and when loading up the suspect 2 saves, Canary did not detect any data loss on the UOF4P, so I know its not that. This mod is not supported thru Canary so I cant speak for it.

    ME *sees photo*: that looks like a cool vehicle.
    ME *reads name*: that's... a weapon?
    ME *in doomguy outfit*: BREATHES HEAVILY

    Another idea for the reload animation could be venting the heat (with visible effects). Right now it looks odd that it opens the battery case for no apparent reason.
    Also a mod could be to put the word "hype" on the battery, 'coz it shoots the rawest and most intense version of it.

      Yeah, that reload animation looks really weird. I second the cooling vent idea, and/or reloading heat clips like in Mass Effect 2 & 3.

      Agree with the venting heat idea... was actually gonna say that and someone already had.

      Have the Barrel glow red(assuming you know how) when you fire it, then went it reloads it vents the heat and cools down.

    love the cannon.

    things i like..
    -design of cannon
    -weapon has presents. looks like it belongs on a power armor, 40k goodness!

    issues i have are...
    -unusual hand animation. i guess he's recharging weapon, not sure. it seems like the operator is trying to take it apart..
    -sound. big gun needs big sound to go with it, gundam, or maybe starwars AT-AT sound.

    keep up good work, this is just my two cent worth.

    I really enjoy this mod, but is there any chance you might be willing to make a version that could be held much like the minigun or the multilaser? I would love to be able to carry it that way, and be able to see what's going on. I do like the mod, don't get me wrong but I think it would be alot cooler weapon if it could be held down low like a multilaser.
