For anyone who installed this mod with Vortex or NMM and still nothing change. Follow those steps (from author). It works for me!

Great work on replicating the EFT HUD! I think it would be nice to have other elements of EFT as well, such as having to check your mag to see how much ammo you have left or falling face first in first person when you die.
I'll be honest, watching streams of EFT the most annoying part of the stream is watching that check the mag animation play like 1,000 times. I mean seriously, you only got a 20 rd clip and you have a controlled firing pattern - it's not hard to know when you need to reload.
I followed rienguen's steps and put the def_hud.xml file into the def_conf folder but it still did not change my hud. anyone else have suggestions or corrections?
It would be great if this was on xbox... also does anyone know how to fix the place anywhere mod pop up in the top left of my screen. It was still there after I deleted the mod and even after I deleted and reinstalled the game.
