IMPORTANT
This mod is no longer supported.  I will not be providing bug fixes for this mod, or any of my other mods which use VotW.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

There are known issues with the projector version which may or may not work correctly (the TV versions work fine).  I believe this is to do with VotW, as I have had several reports that it's not just my mod affected.  Because of this I cannot support problems with the projector version.  I do however want to know if it bugs out for you, and would appreciate you posting in the bug post titled "Projectors not working" so they're kept in one place.  I probably won't respond to every post, but it would really help if you could also list any other VotW videos you have installed so I can see if I can replicate the issues, and then come up with some sort of workaround (or not as the case maybe).  I understand your frustration and disappointment, and would really appreciate your help.

What jingoistic propaganda are you trying to brainwash us with now?

How to Survive a Nuclear War!

Er, we're in the wasteland. Late much?

Yup.  It is a bit after the fact, to be honest.

Anyway what is it?

It's 6 films that will, er, help you survive a nuclear war, including a grounds eye view of a nuclear blast.

The films are...

A is for Atom
Atomic Bomb Blast Effects (labelled as TOP SECRET: Atomic Bomb Blast Effects - watch the film and you'll see why at the start.  There's no sound either)
Duck and Cover (Bert the Turtle)
Radiological Defence (3 parts)
Self-Presevation in an Atomic Bomb Attack (2 parts)
Survival Under Atomic Attack

Anything noteworthy?

Yeah, they're for TVs only at present.  I'll add projector support in a week or two.  Projector support now added.

The installer contains the choice of the ESP or ESL versions.  Just remember to make sure the ESL version is manually activated if you choose that.

Also, there's one of the videos that looks like it has a part missing at the end (for those of you who are observant or like to pull their toys apart).  The missing screen was trimmed because it was only a few frames of video and black screen which decompressed to 8MB, so I culled and it and replaced it with the blank.dds.

Something else worth noting is the file size.  These will decompress to around 1.7 GIGABYTES.  The dds files (like segments of frames of film) are all 8MB in size regardless of what's in them, and there's 207 of them.  I can't do anything about this.  If you only want a couple of the videos, you could probably delete the .dds and xwm files of the ones you don't, but do this at your own risk (although I know it's relatively safe).

I'd also like to say a massive thank you to BiggMatt who created WinFF, even though it's now retired.  This tool has been extremely useful when I've had to convert/split videos easily and quickly.

Anything else?

Yeah, let it overwrite blank.dds if it asks.

Are we done?

Yeah, so enjoy.
