Somebody knows where the Texture for Catmeat is? I want to replace it with an other color. I couldn't find it in the Fallout 4 folder. Did I have to extract the Bethesda Archive in order to find it?
EDIT: Found it out, just paste the texture file in "Fallout 4/Data/Textures/Actor/cat" and name it "cat_d.dds" that's it. If this Dir doesnt exist, create it.
Any news on this? I took a stab at giving cats attack capabilities but it didn't work. I'd noticed a few things that I tried unsuccessfully to capitalize on. One being that cats don't really have to have attack animations (though that would be nice). That's evident by the fact that if you give Dogmeat the cat model, he may not be able to animate at all but can still attack. (looks weird)
So I tried playing with the GECK, adding behaviors to cats and binding them to existing cat animations like eating (so, they'd basically run up and nibble people to death). Didn't work at all.
Starting to despair of ever having an attack cat at this point.
Not actively at the moment, I would really like to get back into it shortly. I had some back to back computer issues that got me out of the habit of working on it and I'm afraid a lot of what I want to do needs to wait until the official creation kit is released by Bethesda, but there's plenty I can do until then. Stay tuned
You might want to specify though in the description, that this mod is best installed when Dogmeat is CURRENTLY your companion. I had already recruited Dogmeat, and had him waiting at Sanctuary when I loaded this mod. When I checked on Dogmeat, the replace had worked and he was now Catmeat... but I could not initiate dialogue with Catmeat to switch out companions.
Unless if this is not the behavior you're supposed to have, then ignore me! But yeah... I fully intend uninstall for now while I play with companion quests, then will come back later and keep Catmeat around as my companion afterwards! LOL! :-)

Eventually we shall have our desired attack-cat companion. =3
