Really English only? Yes full dialogue interface supports other languages, but Bhaal's Better Sorting mod does not support other languages other than English so therefore English is only supported. If Bhaal's Better Sorting mod supported more than only English then I would be supporting more than only English as well.. So as it stands now my file will only support English unless either Bhaal starts doing other languages as well or someone points me in a direction of a mod that does .String files as well that conflicts with Full dialogue interface, but is in a different language(s).
Only two things you need to download are Full Dialogue Interface and this mod, since bhaal's better sorting mod is only .string files this mod already takes care of that part, Full Dialogue interface on the other hand has extra files that are not included in this mod so that is why that mod is required as well.
So I added two new options for people who either want the sarcastic option to stay hidden or the original paraphrase to be added before the full line. ( Sorry about the image quality people who use mod organizer, I can never seem to get pictures to come out good on it but you guys can check the images tab to see what they look like. )
Any Issues let me know and I'll try to get them fixed ASAP
Yea it's pointless if you use the .esp version, this is only for the people who are using the 1.7 strings because of various reasons like the esp not working for them or something. had a few people pm me about it so decided to go ahead and make them as one last final patch.
The new dialog is working fine ie the UI displays exactly what the PC will say but it's still being displayed on that lame vanilla dialog wheel any idea what the problem could be?
did you download the Full Dialogue interface mod, that mod is required before this mod will work fully and make sure that you have the latest verison of Full Dialogue interface as well.
Hmm are you using NMM? mod organizer? doing it manually? did you edit your .ini files correctly and make them read only? which edit are you using for the .ini files? if you use just the dialogue mod does it work by itself? do you have an "interface" folder in your fallout4/data folder and does it have "dialoguemenu.swf" and "multiactivatemenu.swf" inside of that folder?
I kept wondering too why your mod was needed, since I have both installed and they work fine....
Ok I double checked...
I USED to use Bhaal, (The first one I used and like the most) but I forgot I switched to Better Item Sorting by xandarori because it does have FDI compatibility.
Yea some inventory sorting mods out there use .esp files (which will make it supported with Full Dialogue Interface) while bhaal's still uses .string files, he is currently looking into updating his mod into an .esp instead but he doesn't know if he will be able to do it anytime soon (until G.E.C.K comes out) since he doesn't really know much about .esp stuff. And well now you can switch back to using Bhaal's mod instead if you wanted to since this mod will fix those issues. And I'm always trying to get an update out asap though sometimes I might be a couple hours late depending on when they push an update to their mods.
I am using NMM I did edit my .ini file but NMM still tells me I need to edit them everything I reload the mods (I just assumed it always did this regardless of whether I had or not) I put bEnableFileSelection=1 fallout4prefs.ini, bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 and sResourceDataDirsFinal= under archive in fallout4custom.ini and sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\ into fallout4.ini. I do have an interface folder in data and it does contain dialoguemenu.swf and multiactivatemenu.swf
For the .ini edits you only use one option or the other (so either the bInvalidateolderfiles one or the sResourceDataDirsFinal one), don't use them both together. NMM has a tendency to be weird sometimes with the .ini files..
Hmm, when you load up the game do you use the game launcher or do you just go straight into the game through one of the other various methods that are out there on the internet.
Do you use any other mods than just Full Dialogue Interface + this mod? And if so, do they work?
SUCCESS I deleted sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\ and replaced it with sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\ and we are good to go again thanks so much for all of your help you rock
hehe figured that was possibly the problem once I noticed the error you made :p but glad you got it working now ^^ -- I'm about to upload a new version here shortly that will have an installer because I included "original paraphrase before full line" and "sarcastic options stay hidden" as options as well.
Btw, if you are using the "bInvalidateolderfiles" one you don't need anything after "sResourcesDataDirsFinal" so you could delete the "strings\" part.
Doesn't really work well, I've installed latest FDI beta 8 + this, dialogue mod is ok but sort tags only appears on some stuff, but most of it isn't tagged (for example all food and all drugs except Stimpacks !) any idea ?
It should be working fine because I test it before even uploading it here. Mind showing me two pictures, one what it looks like in-game for you (picture of aid section for inventory should be fine) and one showing me your mods currently installed + load order for your mods, we shall get to the bottom of whatever your problem is.
I have a feeling it could be a load order issue or another mod is conflicting with this, since no one else has even reported it an issue on this mod page nor Bhaal's Better Sorting page (I upload it there as well).
can't find how to post screenies here... well my Aid sections have 99% non sorted stuff with standard names and only Stimpacks with Aid tag. Mods i have that could be a problem are Weightless aid /junk. Don't think crafting/settlements mods, textures or ENBs could have any effects here
Any mods that are .esm or .esp files that affect aid/junk/materials/weapons/armor/whatever else will take control if they conflict with a mod that isn't an .esm/.esp file, the .esm/.esp file will overwrite anything that it changes, so yea I believe your weightless aid / junk mod is the one that is conflicting with Bhaal's Better Sorting mod tags, there's nothing I can do about that myself but SystemLordBhaal is planning on making his mod into an .esp file in the near future (probably once g.e.c.k comes out since he doesn't really know how to otherwise) that'll fix issues like your having and make his mod a lot more compatible with other mods (like Full Dialogue Interface which will make this patch redundant as well)
Oh, and for future reference - to post pictures here, just take the picture and upload it to imgur.com or something and then just paste the link here.
they don't work correctly at all since bhaal's better sorting mod over writes full dialogue interface or the other way around depending on which way you download the files since they both use the same .string files (you can see everyone asking about making them supported with each other if you go to bhaal's better sorting page and go through the comments).. this mod fixes that.
I'm looking for clarification too. I use both and the only thing I've seen is some missing tags on Item Sorting, but they're simply untagged because the author hasn't tagged them yet as far as I understood. (Same issue without full dialogue.)
Edit: okay so I just loaded up both Full Dialogue Interface and bhaal's better sorting mod together without my merge to see what you two are on about and while yes they both work somewhat you aren't getting the full capabilities of full dialogue interface without this mod, all you are getting with doing the method you two are doing is the interface from full dialogue interface and then bhaal's better sorting mod.. You aren't getting the actual benefit of what full dialogue interface actually does which is changes how the dialogue comes out as well instead of just "yes, no, maybe, whatever the 4th option is" type of stuff.
With this mod here you'll get complete capabilities of both mods together as in the actual dialogue change and interface change from full dialogue interface and the better sorting tag stuff from bhaal's better sorting.
I will update the description of this mod since that seems to be needed so people can understand it clearer.
Awesome! Anything that can make my life easier is more than welcome! Question: When an update does happen, do we need to reinstall the Full Dialog Interface mod again, then replace that one strings-file with this mod or do only need to do that the first time, then after that just update this mod? Hopefully that made sense.
You'll only need to download full dialog interface mod again when ever there is an update to that mod since this file is only the .string files merged together from both mods, but you won't need to download bhaal's better sorting mod at all though since bhaals is just string files which are merged together in this mod with full dialogue interface (if that made any sense).
but when ever there is an update to full dialogue interface, you'll have to redownload the file from here as well and replace the string from full dialogue interface with the updated one from here (p.s make sure it's updated to support the latest versions beforehand otherwise you might have a bad time -- I will always try to get things updated asap)
Edit: I edited the main description so it should be a little more clear on what to do when updating.
It's currently only for English, but I'm thinking about doing merge files for the other languages as well but I won't be able to test them. so I'll have to rely on other people to tell me if they work or not.
Edit: so I just remembered that bhaal's better sorting mod is for english only, it won't work for other languages as far as I'm aware.. but if you have any other sorting mod that you want me to work on getting permission for merging that works for other languages and won't work with Full Dialogue Interface I can gladly take a look and see if I can get permission to upload it on here as well and keep it up to date.

you need the "better sorting Mod" for
or you can let them gone too?

Following this, very curious.
