2024-05-01 I am aware of the 1.10.980 update and that this mod will no longer work, as it requires F4SE and even once F4SE is updated it will need updating for the new version.

Once there is a practical working release of F4SE for the new version  I'll grab it and see how soon I can get the mod working again.

Wish I found this sooner! I loved this feature in Stewie Tweaks for NV and now I can finally have it in Fallout 4. It's the perfect balance of cutting down on the annoyance without making it too damn easy. Well done, my dude.

Can you port to F3/New Vegas?

I wouldn't have the first clue how to I'm afraid, the interface with FO4 was existing code and I wouldn't know where to start for FO3 / NV, and even then it's been a few years since I did this, so I'm hoping they don't update FO4 again or I'll haver to effectively start over!

There is modding xNVSE and Tale of Two Wastelands servers. TTW by the way is Fallout 3 on Fallout New Vegas engine with all it's improvements, you should try if you haven't it's a big diff now

Stewie Tweaks already includes the function of this mod for New Vegas as well as a ton of other useful features.

Is this possible to do in New Vegas as well? Even with a handful of QoL tweaks to lockpicking (including lStewieAl's mod), the lack of this feature in NV still irks me.

I'd imagine it's possible but I don't have New Vegas or all of the tools needed even for this mod setup on my machine after I had to reinstall Windows (in order to get RDR2 to work if you can believe that).

If FO4 updates and I have to update this mod I might install New Vegas and have a look at it but it's not something I'd look at otherwise if I'm honest.

Thanks man, I knew this was the problem when I started CTD during lockpicking because this is the only mod I have in regards to it. I got worried when it wasn't updated until I saw your post. I thank you again for keeping this updated!!

THANK YOU for this! I started a new game and was getting a CTD when lockpicking. I didn't remember the original mod and it took me a while to track the problem down. I hope you'll be able to continue to update this with new game versions.

Did I remember to say thank you? Yes, yes I did. THANK YOU AGAIN ANYWAY! And before I forget, thank you.

You're most welcome :) and luckily once I worked out how to do it and got the source code in order it should be fairly simple to update!

You can expect that to happen 3 or 4 times a year, every time the game updates for Creation Club. F4SE will usually update within a day and you'll be able to update this mod then.

That's the theory but given that I am actively playing I selfishly tend to wait until my favourite mods are updated too before I update my install ;)

New version added for 1.10.163 / F4SE 0.6.20. Memory address is actually the same but I thought better to just build it to be safe.

    OBLIGATORY STICKY POST!

06/12/2019 - Of course I am aware that since I eventually managed to work out how to do all of this FO4 has been updated again. Once all of the mods I rely on to not dash my brains out on the desk in frustration have been updated by their godlike authors, I shall update my game and upload a new version of the plugin for 1.10.163.

      Hi romaera,
sorry but I don't have access to those versions anymore and I don't want to go messing with my Fallout 4 installation and break it - I'd have to roll everything back. Almost everything I can think F4SE wise of is up to date now though, so might be worth updating :)

    Gotta love that timing!

I assume this works with the previous version of F4SE then? I haven't updated the game just yet (since Looksmenu and some others haven't caught up as of now) and never realized how much I needed this until you came along and opened my eyes.

Yes indeed, this is for the updates of a few weeks ago rather than those that dropped this week. Once the last few of my F4SE dependent mods are updated I'll add a new file for the current version, but I'm actively playing at the moment so I'm not mucking up my mods until everything else is done!
