I simply cant get this to work, I use Vortex so I am unsure whats happening as everything till now has worked fine. Am I missing something?

Nevermind, fixed, I didnt enable mods in my fallout.ini which I thought was not a step I had to do as Vortex up till now been installing my mods fine!

Now that it works, the frame is beautifully made and matches with any paint job you throw at it

It's always best to COPY a main file, such as the power armor frame and then make a recipe to create it, rather than overwrite the main file. That way, you are not affecting the entire power armor frames in the entire game, the game will be less likely to crash if mod is removed, due to addition of files, rather than altered files, players have the option to craft it AND keep the original model/texture.

It just involves making a recipe which is actually fun because you can choose what ingredients you need to make it. I understand that uploader here is not mod author, but perhaps this could be passed on and rekindle his/her passion to do this? lol

then I would be more tempted to get this mod.

its just texture files, they are not scripted and not esm esp plugin , so I don't see why that would cause ctd unless you ran out of ram because textures where too intensive. Texture mods will not break quests or game .

no replacing textures dont TYPICALLY cause any problems.

also what PA frame retextures offer themselves as recipes? nearly EVERY PA frame texture is a replacer. I dont think its possible to quite easily accomplish what youre talking about, at least not as easy for a modder as making a replacement texture.

why dont you make it or learn how to do if its easy? implementing a loose texture would be no problem for you either, especially if its a mod just for yourself.

    Greetings all.
New guy here. Definitely interested in this Mod. Question first though. Does it also alter the 1st-Person view of the frame, like the hands & such?
    It looks truly sublime...

Go to the files tab on this mod. Look at the main file, next to it you see a magnifying glass. Click this, it will show you the file path where it is located (in your fallout/data folder). It shows you the names of the files. Delete the files,(Paframe01_dds, PahandHd_dds, and PaJetpack01_dds.) being careful not to delete the file path itself, (data/meshes etc etc..)
There are three direct draw surface textures there which are simple and once deleted, the game will load in the default PA frame texture maps. (.dds). The game might ask for the files.."files missing, are you sure you wish to proceed?" Click yes and see if you get any issues or not. If you get issues, delete the textures folder and verify the game's files again to recover the default texture file. This is done in Steam Library/game/Fallout4/right click/properties/local files/verify integrity of game files. If you still get issues, you may have to start a new game, since that game save requires this mod's PAframe.dds textures.

Are you using NMM ? if so there are two ways, download with NMM or manual download and add to NMM and install that tol should be very straight forward.

Hm, my advice for you is to check out how to manually install mods, by looking up how to install mods manually and the video should be by Gopher . It's ded easy once you knkow how. And yeah, it is tricky when you don't know how I'm still trying to remember wth to do You should however make sure that you do indeed have a mod manager and/or load order manager such as Nexus Mod Manager (free!) and L.O.O.T. (also free!)

Been using this one for a while - thought I'd drop in and thank the mod author (or his friend) for the nice addition, since vanilla power frames look odd, with white exposed joints.

    Endorsed.
