I just loaded this mod. Vault 111 doesn't have a guard tower. I'll probably stumble upon your vault in time, but you might want to fix your first clue. If V111 stands for something other than Vault 111, please be more specific. Googling V111 comes up with Vault 111, so I'm not being stupid assuming V111 stands for vault 111.
Your video didn't help me locate you're vault either. All it shows is an old rusty truck that is not located at Vault 111. If you want to be cute and mysterious about the location of your vault, at least give accurate clues. I would call that the elevator control shack, it's definitely not a guard tower.
OK I ran your second video, and I found your vault. I would have never found it by trying to follow your cryptic clues. There is no way in hell that I would have killed Wolfgang to get his clue, that's just sick.
The settlement area inside your vault looks useful though. Thanks for making the mod.
Feb 1: I put a 55 person settlement in the main chamber. This mod is going to work just great for me. So far the only problem I've noticed, a minor problem, is that the fast travel target mat doesn't work. So you have to enter through the front door and when you do, when your being attacked, your right in the middle of the attackers and being shot by your own defenses.
You know, I very nearly missed this. I have to be honest, this mod appears very understated at first glance, but it's been a life saver for me! Vault 88 has never worked properly for me, no matter what mods I have on/off to try and help. This new settlement, however, seems to work absolutely perfectly! Settlers path around everywhere with no problems and obviously there's tonnes of space to build in!
I've only played with Section 1 at the moment - I assume the other Sections are all separate settlements, considering how you move between them?
I've noticed one minor issue - I use the "Spawn Settler Button for Sim Settlements" mod to get settlers, rather than a radio beacon, relocating settlers, etc, and I notice that some settlers get stuck under the metal stairs by the vault entrance when they spawn in and they never free themselves. I have to use Place Everywhere and move the stairs to get them free. Minor issue though, and I don't know if this is an issue for settlers coming to the settlement by other means.

Fast travel away and resting for a day should make those settlers port elsewhere but ill have a look at it . :P it was worse with teh old stairs for some reason lol ,thats why i used teh straight stairs and got rid of the vault door , i may not hav navmeshed all under those stairs.
It's probably even more crappy and broken on there! :D
The problem seems to have improved a little in time - only getting stuck half the time now! What's the plans with the other sections then? Will they be fully open and linked to Section 1 without a load screen inbetween?
All sections are fully open now ,they connect to each other and each also has a surface conection. Make sure you exit each surface section at least once before you start to build them up other wise teh numbers can get screwy
I cannot endorse this mod. For the simple reason it is so difficult to find.
I have been in the vault before and decided to go back and turn it into a settlement. Cannot find it again and I have been in it. I figure it is going to be an ongoing pain so I uninstalled it.
It shows up on the map once you have located the entrance. So if you have been inside once, it will always show up unless you have uninstalled it then reinstalled it between saves.
Been hard to find is why its called Forgotten Vault and the notes I have left are pretty easy to follow.
Lighting no , its a forgotten unfinished vault some of the other areas I will add will be completely dark
I cudnt get the navmesh right with having a vault door but if I can get that working I will include that at some point. Everyone got stuck before the door so I didn't include it.
Maybe set the space just the right size for thevault door plot form vault land i think it is or the settlement door object that came with thatDLC if i remember right
that entrance part is one hug piece so I wont be able to make any changes to that . and the reason why I dint keep it like vault 88 entrance was because settlers wouldn't path and would just hang around that 1st section :(
Is there any pathfinding in Vault 81's entrance or one of the other vaults? If so, would it be possible to mash them together to get that sweet, animated vault door?
Thanks for taking a shot at a properly partitioned vault! This will be a massive improvement for both fps and ai performance over all other vault mods (and the base game vault this is based off of).
How will this vault transition between partitions? Will it be possible to have a pre-placed door that will serve as a loading screen between sections? Bonus points for snapping points to it so we can avoid any gaps between built vault sections.
Also will it be safe to begin building now in this section in anticipation of future sections being released for this mod? IE will we have to rebuild our vaults every time there is an update?
All sections will have doors/passage to at least one other section. All Sections will have one door to the commonwealth which will be the map marker for that section.
Each section is a separate cell and wont impact on the other cells. So no physical passage between vault sections ;)
Yes its fine to build in the 1st section but note the barriers in two places ,they are the sites for future doors.
Awesome! So if I understand you correctly, we'll want to build temporary stuff near the doors/passage to other sections in preparation for a door and adjust it after a new section is released?
Good to hear there will be a door to the commonwealth as well! That will make Conquest complement this mod really well. Imagine having the 3 raider gangs having 3 separate vaults connected to each other! :D
No fast travel marker directly inside it ,you could use the console command coc uitsection1 I will look into fast traveling inside for next update
No this mod dosnt touch vault 88 in any way ,this is just a clone of static objects in V88 which I had to alter and rename ,and is in a custom cell , so no quests from V88 are touched and its a completely different entrance location.

Yeah interior settlements can hold a heck of a lot of settlers without to much issue :)

I was going to set it to full darkness but you would need to add heaps of lights.
