Hey guys! Some of you guys have been asking for it, so I've decided to release the 1.2 update to The Whitman Family Fallout Shelter! This update tweaks a few things in the mod, but the biggest feature of this update is the introduction of a new house for the player! You can begin using this house once you finish the mod! It comes with various crafting stations, storage, and a handy map marker. It should serve as a cozy little base of operations for your adventures near the Quincy Ruins! Have fun!
So this one had two issues. Playing on backported version of fallout and PRP, the first issue was the entrance was covered by a staircase. I had to turn off clipping to get to the entrance, and then was able to enter in. Everything else was good until I got to the end. When exiting, per the quest step, after I exited, the quest never triggered to complete, so it is still in my log. Other than that, everything else worked as intended.
Just checking. Cleared it out, got the master key, escaped via Maintenance, Read Kelan's note, Quest still says I need to escape the shelter. Did I miss something?
Sounds like you've done everything. The quest should have been completed after picking up the final note. That does sound strange. If you want the quest rewards, put "SetStage aPREPQuest 200" in console. That should give finish the quest.
I doubled back to make sure and I left no notes behind, read the terminals I could, and even used the console to unlock those blocked doors.Still was just marked in my Misc.
Hello. I have tried every SET command to complete this quest, nothing works. ShowQuestStages shows the quest to be at 200, and all the others complete. I even tried CompleteQuest aPREPQuest, and nothing. Please help us with this.
This was a fun short side quest, I only had one minor issue of the game crashing when going into vats while fighting some of the protectrons, though I don't know if that is the mod or the engine. I am glad there were beds and chairs in the dungeon because I was playing on survival mode and having a place to save was a godsend while fighting and losing to the boss.(I know base survival disables chair saves but I added a mod that allows them)
So i just played tru your mod all worked fine and i liked the story allot was wondering if your still working on it and or gonna update it? have a view pointers [not trying to be rude or anything just trying to help and impove the mod]
- there ware a couple of typos in the letters - maybe decorate the rooms some with clutter and all sorts of bits. it felt really empty
other then that great stuff like i said i did enjoy it allot and Endorsed [hope to see more of this]
I don't currently have any plans to continue this story, but that might change in the future. A companion mod/quest mod sequel to The Whitman Family Fallout Shelter is not out of the question, but there are a few other projects and concepts I'd like to explore before looking into it. I've been working a lot on developing my storytelling and level design skills recently. This mod served as a way to re-familiarize myself with the Creation Kit after a two year hiatus of making Fallout 4 mods, so it's not perfect by any means, especially in regards to cluttering. However, I'm constantly practicing and improving, so look forward to better clutter in future mods of mine!
