should of made it to the "Fallout f*#@ You 1ST" billboard, a thing that happened when Beth introduced the paywall, someone bought the domain for the Fallout 1st page and made it into "Fallout f*#@ you 1st"
Hey I was curious is there a way to use the prewar texture in place of the post war? I tried seeing if I could do it without help I just hate the trash (vanilla) version
Obsidian must be saying "Oh, my poor creation Fallout...what have these people done to you??" It is truly sad to see such a great series have such a horrible terrifying end that is nothing more than a cash grab.
what if we get them to lock todd and the accountants in the basement so they can just get on with making a good game for once. actually that's what needs to happen at all the big game studios. lock the dang accountants in the basement and just get to making the sorts of games the dev teams want to make and know the fans want
I'm still amazed at how many people actually thought they were going to get their own personal server at no extra cost. Like y'all know how silly that is right? That s#*! cost a lot of money. $13 is even cheap for a server when you compare it to other server hosting sites, which dont even give you any bonus'.
Like I'm not gonna buy it because I don't see the point in playing a multiplayer game alone, but y'all are hilariously entitled.
Well peoples were told they wouldn't have to pay for any non-cosmetic content. Not everybody is clued up on the ins and outs of that server stuff so you've just displayed a lack of empathy for fellow gamers. I do think you're missing the bigger picture in that people love to hate Bethesda right now. Bethesda play to it rather than resist it because they get more attention the more they do controversial things. Youtubers love it because they get a profitable video out of every controversial act Bethesda perform. Gamers love it because they get a bad guy to make an enemy out of. Win-win.
It is not even a "private server". Just re-used old instances with already looted areas for example. It lacks basic real private server functionalities(no wonder, because it is NOT a private server). You may reset them as you please. Patch them, reroll patches. Whitelist people. The whole package is a scam. Nice try, Todd!
Well the people who wanted that should just stop bitching about 76 because it's never going to meet their expectations. The entire concept of the game is the exact opposite of what they want. If you're not going to play the game, stop whining. There are people who enjoy it and are absolutely sick of the toxicity in this community.
@chinkaninka Yep, that is true. It is not a single player game. But it is not a good multiplayer Fallout(what a lot of people wanted) either. Quite the opposite. But what about the people that wanted a bad+sellout "multiplayer" Fallout? Well. They got exactly what they wanted. Fair enough.
Personal servers have been a basic feature in multiplayer games forever. Bethesda isn't letting you host your own server because they want to keep pushing people into microtransactions for "fair and balanced convenience items".
If the game is good like Battlefield, Counter-Strike, Unreal Tournament, or Killing Floor, people are willing without the game itself directly promote it.
Or, and hear me out, they could have given us the tools to set up our own server! Which is what most people actually wanted, which you would know if your goal wouldn't be to just call people entitled. The concept isn't new either, many games have it. Factorio, Minecraft, ARK, Team Fortress, etc. Just rent a server, set it up and done, you can play. But of course Beth would never give us that freedom and to be frank, anyone who thought we would get that option was kidding him/herself.
But hey, considering F76 still is a mess, the new DLC with NPCs has been delayed and Beth still cant release any new "feature" without it being broken, I would say they are far more entitled then anyone who is complaining about it. The most insulting thing still is that they sell us the things we ask for to fix their bad gameplay decisions and act like they are doing us a favor.
You are hilariously clueless, like everybody else that calls paying customers "entitled" I mean, how dare people want to get their money's worth from a product they bought? Calling people "entitled" for expecting a quality product for their hard earned money is boorish and foolish.
I call for a moment of silence... For all those brave men and women who gave their money and time and devotion and motherly brutal defence of this "game", all so they can be given a kick in the balls and a spit in the face by the people whom they trusted and defended to the last.
Not for Bethesda of course, I like how JimQuisition put it, bashing on them is now like kicking a dead horse, with the exception that bethesdan dead horse is so glitchy it makes a funny squeaky fart noises every time you kick it, so it doesn't get old :P
Wow. "funny squeaky fart noises every time you kick it". My ice tea almost came out of my nose when I read that. Thanks, that's truly the hardest I've laughed all day today.
Its' a virtual server, in other words it's an illusion for your money, I smell ZeniMax, in all of this. The rumor is the major investment company is looking to sell their share and want's the company to look lucrative. What that means is screw the consumer, we want the bucks! Look up Providence Equity, that's who holds the most stock in the company, they're assets are 45 billion dollars. We're talking major players.
Can't really blame ZeniMax for Bethesda issues since Bethesda basically created ZeniMax as their parent company. It's basically a scapegoat so they can mess up and "another company" gets the blame. One of the ZeniMax founders is Bethesda founder.

games used to come out with multiplayer lobbies you could play alone in or invite friends to as part of the game. no extra costs...
fallout 76 - play with others or pay to be alone....
